Met Ken Hatfield who played a joke on me as an usher in 2007. Nicest person I have ever met. Too bad hog fans treated him like shite in the 80s.

Hatfield is no doubt one the nicest people on Earth.

When I moved to Houston in my early 20s, he was HC at Rice. I was on the campus one day, and a friend dared me to go to his office and see if I could meet him. I went in, told his assistant I was a lifelong Hog fan, and just wanted to say hello. She said he was out of the office and did I want to leave a name and number. I said what the hell and did. Figured it was to just get me out of there, which I understood,

Later that afternoon, I was at home and the phone rang. I couldn't believe that it was Hatfield. He was incredibly nice, talked to me for at least 10 minutes, and invited me to come back by the office and he'd give me some tickets to a game that fall. I know, it's not a hard ticket, but to take the time to call back a random stranger who was a fan speaks volumes about what an incredible person he is.
Houston Nutt at Arkansas had 2 players back to back that saved his arse...

First Matt Jones, then Darren McFadden

Brad Pitt has been basically playing the same character for 30 years just in different scenarios and contexts.

He’s cool as shite, but he’s not much of an actor.

So you are saying Chad Feldheimer in Burn After Reading and Tyler Durden in Fight Club are basically the same character?

Interesting take.
One change to make:

Sweeps: Change Arkansas' 1 sweep to Alabama, not Auburn

Got Swept: Add a 2nd for Alabama (Arkansas)

Great work though!

They are beyond reproach

They are only beyond reproach if people sit back and refuse to call out their actions out of fear. More people need to step up, speak out, and when they feigned outrage starts, stand the frick up and hold your ground.

It will only take a few to do it for the many that feel the same way to be okay doing it.

It's the fricking "I'm sorry" crowd that keeps this going on. Let a few proudly call it out, stand by it, and see what the domino affect will be..

True. And Al Green and Jasmine Crockett.

Don't forget Steve Cohen.... he may be the worst of the bunch.

agreed, Mitchum was better than De Niro. Although I thought nolte and Lewis were upgrades to the original

Nick Nolte better than Gregory Peck? Don't read that very often.

Interestingly, both Mitchum and Peck had roles in the De Niro remake. Doesn't look like any of that cast will show up in the 3rd version.
There is no cap, but Augusta now strongly recommends that former champs stop playing when they can't play at least to a reasonable level.

I can remember when Billy Casper, Gay Brewer, and other former champions used to go out there an hack it around for 2 days into their 60s/70s. Augusta would send them out right after the honorary starters finished.

As long as people like Couples and Langer can play reasonably, I don't think Augusta has any issue with them playing.

William Harrison didn't get much accomplished...

He didn't frick anything up, either.

So he probably makes the top 10 best presidents.

Well, he was grandfather to a pretty poor 1 term president, so you could say he had more failure than success.

But Michigan and Indiana, two core Big 10 teams, won titles on basketball and football in same academic year.

Making it more memorable, if you had said prior to this year that it would be Indiana in football and Michigan in basketball (not the other way around), people would have said you were crazy as hell.
Not sure if it's been posted....but seems to get worse by the hour for the a-hole...

Don't throw stones...

May want to make sure your own house is in order before lashing out and berating everyone else for not following the rules.
NC State winning the 83 NCAA Tourney has to be up there.

Had to win every game in the ACC tournament just to get in the field, then won it all by beating a team no one in America thought they could beat. They probably could have played Houston 10 more times and not come close to winning. But, they did it when it counted.
Jesus Christ....she'll be 81 years old on election day.

No fricking way this country elects an 81 year old woman to be President.

Having said that, come on Dems...nominate her.

You should look into the concept of “ghost jobs”.

"Ghost jobs" are online job postings for roles that do not exist or that employers have no immediate intention to fill, with research indicating up to 34% of companies currently use them. These listings, often used to build talent pipelines, signal growth, or manage current staff, waste applicant time and create false impressions of a robust job market.

There is another issue that is causing some of the 'Ghost Jobs'. I'm a manager in accouting for a pretty large corporation. Our HR department makes us post any job opening that we have internally (which also auto posts it on numerous job sites) even when we already know who we are going to hire for the position. Thus, for at least 5-10 days, there a job posted that no one will ever even consider any of the applications. It absolutely pisses off every manager, and I've even tried to make the outside posting argument to stop it. No luck. Just another example of HR departments being absolutely useless.

Actually, he starts to stumble / stammer as he says it, which makes it even more hilarious. He seemed to realized he'd fricked up royally by saying out loud.

If it's Crockett, she has no chance and it will be a bloodbath. If it's Talarico, I have a feeling ol' Jasmine isn't going to take the loss well and will not unify the party like it was both times against Cruz.

I called it a few days ago....
I get the concern, but bottom line is that Ted Cruz has always had popularity issues as well. Everyone said he was in trouble in 2018, but he still beat the media God Beto, and then crushed Collin Allred in 2024. Both Beto and Allred had far more unified Dem support than what is happening now.

If it's Crockett, she has no chance and it will be a bloodbath. If it's Talarico, I have a feeling ol' Jasmine isn't going to take the loss well and will not unify the party like it was both times against Cruz. Paxton (most likely), while having baggage, still wins relatively easily.

Cocaine Mitch is a real disappointment.

I can't help but think someone is controlling him, or blackmailing him.

He's the sole reason you don't have Merrick Garland on the USSC. He also made sure all of Trump's first term noms got through. He may hate Trump, but his last 2 years indicate someone is controlling him. Wife maybe compromised?

Curious why you have this one in the list? They have been left of left lately...were the most crazy when it came to Covid...and hate Trump with a passion.

I wouldn't consider them reliable at all...and even if they were, would most likely be no help.
I truly hope his end is as peaceful as possible...but all this fawning over him as some great human is a little over the top.

When the camera was on, he was one person. Day to day working with him was another. He was known to be a colossal prick to anyone he deemed an underling...which was most staff he dealt with day to day. I know personally how people within the athletic department at Arkansas absolutely hated him.

And, don't forget this prime example of what a prick he could be... berating a young female intern because he thought he was too important to stand and wait for an interview for 90 seconds.

Just watch that camera grin completely turn to a scowl and him storming off when the camera interview turns off.

May his end be peaceful, more peaceful than how he treated day to day people he worked with.
What's interesting is that defense was more the problem in Patterson's later years at TCU. He seemed to struggle with the modern offenses.

Maybe just his experience will help Riley learn to be a better HC, and that's the real goal.
