Often overlooked when we talk about a character that's easy to hate, is this bitch. I think most give him a pass b/c of Lord of the Rings, but man what a bitch he was in this movie, his character that is.

Eric Bana as Hector stole that movie.
Yes. yes he did.
Would have preferred the director let him face Achilles with more gumption too. Dude loved his brother ("I wont ask you to fight a war for me, brother. YOU ALREADY HAVE.) and Troy. Could have ended the war. You would have though he would have been a little more pumped about that. O well.

Yeah, the director should have let him kill Achilles and make the Achaeans sail back home. Shitty writer.
There may have even been some good stories about some of their travels back to Greece after the war was over. That Odysseus guy was kind of interesting.

I think Eric bana is such an underrated actor overall.
But yes in Troy, he crushes.. well.. except for that whole battle with Achilles

You, sir, are a thread hijacker.

Hector was too honorable for his own good. When Achilles came calling at the gate if he’d yelled back “No thanks… I’m good” and let the archers run him off Troy probably wins the war.
I don’t think the Greeks could beat the Trojans in a defensive battle on their home turf. The army, the wall, and those archers were a lot to overcome.

Best scene in the whole movie.

So is this the thread where everyone starts suddenly pretending Brad Pitt is a bad actor? Because that's a stupid thing to say.

Please explain? I've rewatched this numerous times and cannot see what you refer to.

you had to rewatch it to notice that
any one else in that role brings that movie up at least 2 points higher on the scale, he was terrible

Hector's wife is hotter than Helen.

He doesn’t have to know how to act….
He’s Brad Pitt.
