He’s put out a ton of movies the last decade but you never hear much about most of them, not sure if any good.

Cage might own the greatest range of performances in movie history. By range, I mean he's won an Oscar, had other really notable performances, while also giving cartoonish performances in terrible movies. He seems kind of nuts, but capable of really turning it on at times, and at other times is clearly in it for the paycheck.

Deep financial issues. I think he just says yes to everything.
But when he is given a good role in a good movie, he can nail it. Legit chops.
Doesn't mind cashing checks in shite movies though and leaning into the overacting.

He’s a great actor. Huge range. I’d give him a 9.
He’s taken a LOT of shite roles in recent years to pay his tax bills.

Lord of War
Criminally underrated movie.

None of his movies are going to be called the greatest of all time, but almost all of them are abnormally rewatchable.
I don’t know if that’s due to his acting, his script selecting, or both.

It really depends on if the role fits him. He can be terrible or incredible depending on if the part fits his quirkiness.

If his last name wasn't Coppola he'd have never made it.

I’ll add Honeymoon in Vegas to his list of good ones - Sarah Jessica Parker was still hot and young - James Caan is in it too

Love him. He’s a character actor at this point tho.

I always felt like Family Man was an underrated performance. He played that part very well.

Great actor. Valley Girl, Wild At Heart, Moonstruck, Leaving Las Vegas, Adaptation, Matchstick Men, Lord of War. Not many actors are that good in that many great movies.

He is an elite actor in the right role.
