After rewatching the first few episodes I’m leaving open the possibility that Autumn is Royal’s sister.

I thought Autumn might be his granddaughter grown up? They kind of look like the younger/older version of the same person.

Could explain why she is rich, selling the family farm after he dies to BY9 or whoever?

The end shot reminded me of the show about the psycho who pretended his mom lived in the house up the hill from the hotel. The name is escaping me right now.

Watching episode 7 now, thanks for the heads up that episode 8 was also out. Not to derail this thread but why can’t these platforms stick to a schedule for the new releases of episodes? The new season of The Flight Attendant on HBO MAX was two episodes per week the first two weeks and this week it dropped to one episode.

Wait. That’s it?? Wtf

This show is right up my alley … Lost, Dark, Twin Peaks … all interesting shows where you are always trying to figure out WTF is going on. And the acting is pretty good — especially Brolin, the sheriff, Brolin’s wife and the actress playing Autumn.

HOWEVER, whoever chose the songs for the soundtrack should be fired. Instead of conveying a sense of mystery, tension and suspense, the music was just plain too weird and too quirky. I’m not talking about the singing brother — that was fine. I’m talking about every other weirdly rhythmic, bizarre song that was chosen to accompany a scene that should have had something more serious and dramatic. It really took you out of the feel of the show. I imagine they were “going for” this weird dynamic, but I feel the show would have been better served with different music.
