So, the Hightowers. They're from Oldtown which is a part of the Reach. So, they are a vassal house to the Tyrells/Highgarden?
Also, the king sends Daemon back to the Vale. So, Daemon is married to an Arryn?

I just thought these back to back post were funny. Carry on.

Very meh start. You’d think they’d at least kick it off with something interesting instead of “rich girls are oppressed but not really and child birth is murder” but I guess not.

They drew the battle lines for the season or probably series in this episode. Uncle vs. Niece.

I think not liking things just gets your dick hard for some reason.
"Childbirth is murder"? It was a breech birth without modern medicine. A lot of people died from this in real life. Not sure what you're accusing the show of exactly.
Anyway, I enjoyed it. I didn't watch GoT as it was airing so I'm looking forward to being able to chat about these each week.
C-Section scene was tuff.

Yes to all

I'm team Daemon. I know he lost his joust and fight to the Dornish guy, but he is a likeable villain.
This. I get the feel he’d be an awesome ruler for that time period. He knows how to lead men, he’s swift and ruthless in dispensing justice, and he’s more of a thinker than he allows people to believe.
Yea he might not work in 2022, but I get the feel he’d be a great king back in the day. The current king does feel like a bit of a bitch.

The baby dying was an easy catch.. first, the Grandmaester had a very concerned look on his face when holding the baby as if it stopped breathing (the baby wasn’t whining anymore)
Second, the funeral had 2 bodies. Aemma and a small body.

The chainsaw was invented to quickly open a woman in case of a breeched baby not for cutting wood.
Weird but true.

Agreed. Aegon’s dream and the secret passing to the heir was a nice throwback. Especially while clutching the dagger.
This was a change from the books. Fire and Blood doesn’t mention any premonitions by Aegon about the Long Night and the dagger doesn’t make an appearance either. Not sure how I feel about the change.

“The childbed is our battlefield”.
Yeah…they showed us
Yeah…they showed us

Plus the “heir for a day” jab from the brother.

Yeah. It makes Aegon's conquering of Westeros out to be some noble action meant to save humanity from the dead. I don't buy that bullshite at all.

I mean it doesn’t surprise me that you he Targs would try to make out their ancestors take over as some noble event

Not real impressed with the princess, she seems a bit on the fugly side. Nothing awful, I just expected something hotter from this show.
I don't know, I think she's pretty hot.

Also Sapochnik directed this episode and he was the director on most of the best OG episodes.

Plus the princess says at the funeral something like “I hope my father found happiness in the hours that my brother was alive”

Me too, she has a very unique look and very sexy.(Dont worry, she's almost 23).
So far I like the casting. The uncle was awesome in The Crown
