There is a local connection .... the production designer on this behemoth lives in NOLA and is a Tulane grad. She's done some big stuff in her career, but from the sounds of it --- this is a complete different level of production. I'm guessing HBO has previewed some of the sets, but I do know they built an entire backlot world in London that looks monstrous.

I did not like the snape casting because it went against the written descriptions in the book - and we were told numerous times it would be a direct adaptation of the books....but, if they cast a woman as Voldemort that will be a death sentence.

Yea, people will watch, but a significantly less amount than if they nail the casting.
I'm not even a Harry Potter book fanboy, but I would probably skip the series if they made Voldemort a woman. Which I highly doubt they will, probably just putting that out there to say hey look how fair we are being to everyone.
