I remember everyone beating off to the story that Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice received a standing ovation at a test screening.
No doubt this movie will be amazing, Marvel has this down to a science now.

Cause people seem to think this board and the media only hate DC. This movie had a lot of people here pumped and lots of positivity.

which I think is ridiculous. I want good movies. I don't care who makes them. I don't care what they are about. I just want movies that entertain me enough to make me feel that the 20 or so dollars I spend on a movie+concessions is worth it.
BvS, Suicide Squad, and Man Of Steel all failed that test.

We dropped over $50 at Movie Tavern for Lego Batman and would do it again. I want DC to be a success because I love comic book movies.
I will be seeing GotG 2 on openning weekend like I will with Logan. Fox, Marvel, or DC. I enjoy the books and the stories. Its just Marvel has been making better ones.

I expect this movie to be good, but I find it hilarious how the initial hype is always awesome for Marvel compared to DC.
Zack Snyder did enough damage to the DCEU to the point where its going to take a string of at least 5 good movies in a row to reverse that perception. He can't even spit out one half of a good movie right now.
frick Warner Bros for giving that fat hack the keys to my hero.

I'm waiting on Wonder Woman to see if DC has figured this out yet.
Basically, as kids we wanted to be these superheroes. I can't think of one DC hero in the movies I'd want to be; conversely, all of the Marvel movies have reached that, some more than others.

Exactly. Who the hell would want to be a-hole Superman or murder/death/kill Batman from the DCEU other than an emo douche? They are two of the most miserable superheroes ever put to screen.
Even Eric Bana's Hulk smiled more than the two pricks Snyder crapped out.

Iron Man was the correct formula- it "looked cool", and RDJ was absolutely gleeful in his portrayal of Tony Stark.
Before the transformation- pole-dancing flight attendants in his private jet, what a life! And after his traumatic events that changed him into Iron Man, what's the first thing he did? Bought a round of cheeseburgers at Burger King for everyone
That's the dude I want to hang out with!

To be fair, as big a letdown as Iron Man 3 was, it was still better than Suicide Squad, Man of Steel and BvS
and to be even fairer, Iron man 3 wasn't an awful movie. The movie was more about Tony Stark than iron Man and that turned off a lot of people and then you had the Mandarin. I still think they could have salvaged the Mandarin had they let Kingsley find the rings in the end credits setting up him as a true Mandarin character in the future.

Maybe when Marvel stops making good movies and DC stops making bad movies the narrative will change

That's because when people preview DC movies they come out scratching their heads....and these are people that work for WB. It happened with batman vs superman and they were right, it happened with suicide squad and they were right, now they are saying wonder woman and justice league are a mess. There is no bias, one just makes good movies and the other is the DCEU.

DC movies are horrible. I don't need the media to tell me that. My eyes and ears are judge, jury and executioner.

Embargo on BvS is to be lifted TONIGHT at 6 pm
Reactions from the Mexico City premiere were overwhelmingly positive. That has me excited. I have no idea what critics will say. I think it may end up anywhere from 65-75 on RT. If that happens, I'll be happy.
RT Score: 27%

So the media is responsible for the string of flat out awful movies DC is responsible for? Was it the media's idea to feature a jar of piss in BvS?
The difference is that DC only cares about making a buck and Marvel understands that quality movies will keep fans excited and wanting more.

I liked DC's jab at Marvel with the Password "IronManSucks" in Lego Batman.

Marvel scores are inflated on everything. Some real duds have gotten good reviews.
