I can at least buy that. But it's riskier because you pass up a great opportunity to weaken your enemies as a whole and there's much more drama involved than the simpler option.
I would be thinking “if we kill this bitch but miss that dragon, we’re gonna have a bad time”

Why didn't Missandi just grab Cercei and jump off the ledge killing both of them? No one could have stopped it.
Maybe she didn’t think about it because her mind was racing after a death sentence

But Cersei was out in the open

Well that was dumb, too honestly.

Lots of shittiness in this episode.
The entire King's Landing scene was bad. We've never seen anything even close to the layout and landscape they showed as being at the gates of King's Landing. The scene itself felt forced and out of place.
Sure, kill Missande but not pepper the opposing Hand with arrows? C'mon...
Speaking of which it certainly looked like Dany and her token crew (I don't remember her ever using such a weak show of power) were withing arrow range (or at least range of those scorpions, seeing as how they tore up an opposing fleet from what looked like a half-mile away). Open fire and end the whole fricking thing right there, Cersei
Showing up at the walls with just a token force well within arrow and artillery range? Seriously... what the frick??
And Bron... He's always been about Bron but he's also been fairly smart about it. To come in so violently and angrily against the two who have been his biggest champions makes no fricking sense. And then the writers doubled down on that by having him threaten to kill them if they don't give him Highgarden in exchange for not killing them. There's not a single thing stopping them from having him surrounded and killed the moment he shows up at Highgarden.
What I liked about the episode though is that the stress and strains of war and losing her dragons one-by-one are starting to light up the madness gene she got from dear, old dad. That behavior is going to end up causing Varys to poison or shiv her so Jon will have no choice but to take the throne. If she keeps goes even farther off the deep end though, Tyrion may well end up feeling he has no choice but to do the deed himself.

I hate that that spoiler thread exists. It is taking all of my will power not to click on it.

It's relatively useless so don't feel bad about not reading it. I wouldn't click on it if I were you because there's a lot of "possibilities" but there are multiple versions of what comes next so nothing is confirmed. I don't mind spoilers so I read them. It's fun to discuss them and see who's right and wrong.

They have shown so little of the common folk I don’t care if KL burns to the ground.

I agree and with they way they developed Cersei character arc any other episode Tyrion would have been dead and Dany as well.
Bronn this season is very forced on the season.
My favorite part of the episode was probably when the Hound and Arya rode off together. That arc is enjoyable because they both hate each other but also respect each other so the interaction is good IMO.

But some of the people in the show do, which is kind of the point

I haven’t viewed the thread in hours so idc. A good boy deserves a second post.

I’m going to defend the KL scene a bit.
1. Assume Dany was our of range.
2. Sending your army out of range of the only think that can kill a dragon to fight a dragon is a terrible idea.

Little tidbit that might have gone unnoticed, Cersei orders the gates to be left open so the commoners could flood into the Red Keep and form a human shield. Provided an excellent opportunity for Arya and The Hound to slip in. Of course that will all happen off screen like everything else now and we're just supposed to figure it all out.

They just showed they can kill a fast moving high flying Dragon with the same weapons from a boat on the ocean. I'm pretty sure they could hit one sitting on the ground even closer from solid ground.
