Just like how Jamie got half his Army burned alive last season Cersei is going to get the people of King's Landing burned alive as well. A Human Shield is such a great strategy after chopping off your opponents best friends head I bet it works!

They are definitely going to play fast and loose with it. At the same time, just go with it.
He’s like 100 yards behind Danny, it’s clear they did that to put him out of range.
You can sit there and really fricking hitch about the physics of ballistas. Or you can just enjoy the show.

this is from martin, i believe, so the ramparts of the city do in fact border on flat dry land
the showrunners fricked that all up with the earlier image of the city sticking out like a peninsula from the surrounding hills
