Just went rewatch, yes he did
Then I don’t know. Only reason for sailing at that point would be to get there quickly. She was worried about delay and the opportunity for Cersei to gain strength

I don't think he told her about the second sons either, but they were discussed in the battle planning scene. I don't know how they would know about them and not Euron since he's the ferry for them.

I can at least buy that. But it's riskier because you pass up a great opportunity to weaken your enemies as a whole and there's much more drama involved than the simpler option.
