Last episode clearly indicated that the Hound will kill the Mountain.

The Hound wasn't actually talking to the Mountain when he said "You know who's coming for you. You've always known."

I recall people complaining about Gendry's warhammer being too light in either this thread or maybe last week's thread. If anyone is interested, Alec Steele just blacksmithed a real life Gendry's warhammer on his youtube channel. I think the process was 5 or 6 parts +1 part for making the tools he would need. Interesting to see how heavy it really would be.

The Hound can go toe to toe with the Mountain
Brienne whipped the Hound's arse
Arya whipped the ever living shite out of Brienne

Therefore Arya >>>>> The Mountain

Arya is going to toy with the Mountain, kill him, and then piss all over his face

First time posting about this season. Just a few questions to see if I'm on the same page as everybody...

1. I loved season 7 as a whole, except for one part. Pretty basic thought, but is that the general opinion? Or are there a decent amount of haters?

2. I guess D&D answered this after the show but is it assumed that Jamie is leaving kings landing for good? There aren't many places to go and if he goes and follows Dany that just seems to far fetched and too many lannisters that just get a free pass.

2. Arya is my favorite character in the book and show. Minus season five where she had like s total of 10 minutes face time. Part of the reason I love her character is because she's been through so much and I feel like she's never been deeply loved by anybody but Ned and Jon. My favorite in all the books is at the end of book 5 when she asks the kindly man of next time she takes on a face does it have to be a ugly one and he tell her no, it'll be pretty, just like yours. That honestly made me cry. ANYWAY

I love she got redemption against the Freys but i was like wtf why is she able to do this? She didn't finish training and she shouldn't have the abilities to do this. Kind of made me made they are making her out to be faceless. I'm hoping in the books she actually stays and finishes training, but hiding needle tells you that won't happen I guess. But here she is turning into Walder and carrying faces around. That just bothered me and it actually made me not like her character as much, which I couldn't have imagined would happen.

3. So naming Jon Aegon pretty much tells us young griff/connington is a useless story. I can't see Martin having that as a crucial story line after finding that out.

That's about all I got right now

You mean season 7? I think this season has experienced a noticeable drop in the writing quality but I still liked it.

How's it far fetched? Dany and co. are thinking that Cersei is going to help. So Jamie coming over isn't crazy. Plus it says it a lot that Jamie is finally abandoning Cersei to help them. His arc has been great.

They showed her how to do take the faces. But it is weird she became a great fighter.

I doubt Jon's name will be Aegon in the books. They probably chose Aegon because even non-book readers are familiar with it being a Targaryen name.

The Night King now has a dragon (thanks, Dany!). So far most discussion I've seen has focused on the dragon's power, as we saw when it breached the Wall this week.
But the dragon has a far greater power in the Night King's hands - its mobility. The Night King can now fly anywhere in Westeros relatively quickly. And he can raise the dead. Not only is this a place where people don't burn the dead, but due to the recent wars ravaging Westeros there are plenty of corpses lying about or in mass graves.
At the moment the heroes think the battle will be fought in the North on a front defined by the advance of the army of the dead. But they're about to be proven horribly wrong. If the Night King takes off on a grand tour, the entire continent will be facing a zombie apocalypse overnight. Cersei thinks she can quietly rebuild her power while the fighting happens elsewhere? Wrong. Dany thinks her armies can march up the Kingsroad untroubled? Wrong. Euron thinks the Iron Islands (or even Essos?) are a safe haven? Wrong.

Jon's real name is the type of thing they get straight from fat man himself. Rheagar knew his kid was Azhor Ahai and was naming every son of his Aegon

I don't see why Azor Ahai needs to be named Aegon though. Rhaegar was largely thought to be the Prince that was Promised, but he wasn't named Aegon.

That's a good thought. He can go around. Go outside of Winterfell and raise the corpses in the Battle of the Bastards.

Yea sorry. I can see that, is there one or two things in particular that stand out to you.

Abandoning cersei is great I agree. But I'm not %100 sure if he'll actually completely leave her.

Far fetched in that it's too much of a let's make everybody happy/easy way out for him. It's not like he's tyrion and Dany easily takes him in considering he killed his father who was in rebellion against her dad. That's easy to see. But her allowing Jamie to get close (If they allow him in I can't see it being anything other than the small counsel they have), the person who actually killed her dad and just hot done vhwrgibg her with a spear with full intent on killer her as well, yea I'd say that's pretty weak.

quote:

They showed her the hall of faces and changed her face one time. I can't recall them teaching her how to do it. And that her last lines were asking him about the face she would get.

Yea. I'd hope so.

It would be stunningly stupid given what John knows if he would not have burned the bodies.

Eh, I don't see that being the case. Simply because of the number of episodes.

He technically didn't name him, she did. And it seems like she wouldn't have known that the kids were already dead and name him the same name.

but Rhegar realized he wasn't AA and wanted AA to be named Aegon. Personally I love the name Jaehaerys better
