Plus they are too busy worrying about politics and shite to worry about shite that matters.
Tywin will just have Cersei send a painting up there with here looking very sad and pathetic and holding a sign that says:
#bringbackourcastleblackknights
Then we'll all know how much they really give a shite.

2. Why do people in King's Landing or the rest of Westeros not seem to worry about an inevitably Wildling victory and send help to the obviously outnumbered and outmatched Night's Watch?
I thought the only person that got the raven with the White Walker message was Stannis...

dude when he was talking about his broad from back in the day with Sam i had a flashback to lady olenna talking about banging her sisters husband with margaery.
could it be?
Nah, wasn't the story that Olenna wanted power herself and didn't want the guy to marry her sister, so she went in and showed him the 50 states right before the wedding and the guy ended up dumping the sister and marrying Olenna instead? Or am I not remembering the story right?
I'm pretty sure the point of the story was Olenna telling Margery that she had fricked her late husband's brains out in order to end up marrying into power and that maybe Margery should go and make Tommen a man. If I were Tommen, I'd take stock of the fact that I were the third Baratheon king Margery's involved with and the other two never even got to consummate their weddings, though technically, Renly did bone a Tyrell after he married Margery, I guess.

One of the worst episodes ever of GoT. And it's not so much that it was completely bad, per se, I just wasn't a fan of solely focusing on the battle for 50 minutes. But I guess since they've been building toward this for a while they felt the need to give it an entire episode.
Just feels like they've done more with less time on past episodes. I don't know. I enjoyed it, I was just disappointed. Maybe I need to sleep on it.

i dont think she said she married him, just that she temporarily paralyzed him.
turns out the old bat fricked him blind.
wrong or right thats the second time this season that old people relived their golden years of fricking with a younger version of themselves

1. Is the only reason the Wildlings are trying to get past the wall is to escape the looming White Walkers?
They're motivated by having their lands stolen but yes, I think it was the White Walkers that finally brought them all together.

Even one of the Night's Watch commanders could not believe the Giants were real. He said they thought the Wildlings were just scattered raiders. Mance brought them together in large numbers for the first time in centuries. The Watch didn't believe Jon Snow so they didn't or couldn't make a case to the South until now.

In other news, the Maester at the wall told Sam he was a Targaryen. Did we already know this?
Yes

So the Wildlings and Crows hate each other so much they can't come together to fight the White Walkers when it's probably their best chance of survival?
How often does "winter come" in this world?

Thanks for that link. I'd completely forgotten about that.

I've always found the "Winter is Coming" phrase to have multiple meanings, but I remember someone from the Night's Watch asking Tyrion early in season 1 how many winters he had seen and he replied 7 or 8 I believe.
I'm assuming he was talking about wars, because we know the White Walkers have been gone for thousands of years. He couldn't have been talking about actual winters because Tyrion was way older than 8

Well it's been so long since the last winter that people think white walkers and giants are myths

the seasons last much longer than what you are thinking. It hasn't been winter in 9 years or something like that

I can't remember but when did we meet Mance and what does he look like?

I thought Mance was that dude who played Caesar in Rome.
