Loved the episode. Don't understand the hate. I think expectations are too high after the first 3 season's episode 9.

The episode was a lot of really good action

agreed. I didn't really care about Ygritte dieing cause I expected it. I guess it was poetic justice that the little kid killed her.
Jon got some good kills and Ghost merked some dude, which was cool. WTF is Jon doing going out there by himself unarmed, though?? going to kill Mance somehow, but it seems like a suicide mission.
overall a solid episode, but I don't think it lived up to the episode 9 hype. next episode looks good with more fighting at the wall and an update on Bran's journey. can't wait to see where his story is going after him finally making it to that tree

Any particular reason the archers on top of the wall only shot like.. 3 arrows each and didn't aim for the giants?
When they were getting ready to fight off the giant at the gate they said they had already put twenty arrows in just one giant
They should've used that big arse spear gun more!

Great episode. Only thing was they used an entire episode and it really didn't close anything out at the wall. Just the first attack and Snow heading out alone.
Was hoping it would be settled one way or the other rather than leaving it open ended.

when jon and sam were walking around after the battle talking about losing being inevitable a part of me hoped stannis came riding up with a fresh braavosi army

It was bad-arse.
Anyone who says otherwise was just expecting too much.
Some really good lines in that episode.
Sam questioning Jon about what it's like to get some 'tang.
'Ole Commander dude's little talk with Jon about what leadership is ... that was good, if you really listen to it. 'Ole Boy knew that he had fricked up big time and should have listened to Jon.
Why did they wait so long to get the barrels and oil and shite into position?
Why did they wait so long to release Ghost?
Not sure what they did ... but, whatever they did to take those frickers off the wall that were climbing ... that was pretty cool.
Bye Bye to lovely Ygritte ... I could think of worse things than being stuck in that hot tub cave with her fine arse.

I actually liked Ygritte but it seems ppl dislike her here. I guess, in hind sight, I wasn't shocked that she got the axe but I felt bad for Jon the way it happened.
