Just a thought...

The actor who plays Tywin Lannister is absolutely superb in my opinion. Just the mere aura of the character's presence conveys absolute ruthlessness.

The casting of most of the characters has been spot on. They did a hell of a job with it.

Though, I didn't like Shae for some reason. Something about the way she came off in the show didn't feel right (yes, in comparison with the book). I didn't get the sense of entitlement from the book that she seemed to have in the show, though I may have just missed something in one or the other.

I agree with shea, but I was leary about some of the other castings too but after a little while i realized that they were spot on. So I'm willing to give her a chance. I have absolutely zero complaints about the rest of the cast though. Although I expected Tywin to be bigger I guess because hes made out to be so larger than life in the books.

Arya was cast PERFECTLY.

ETA: it's the little things she does like the facial expressions when looking at ned after Sansa said something along the lines of I don't want a kind gentle brave king, I want Joffrey. For such a young actress, she has a lot of the little, non closeup things, down.

I agree, but i think Jon and Robb are the two best castings of the Starks. Especially when he wants to act like catelyns son but knows he must play the part of Lord Stark

I agree they did get the casting perfect, and Tyrion is really playing his part well. He can play the beaten down black sheep, or the arrogant Lannister to perfection.

One thing I am glad they downplayed this season were the crows. I am tired of reading "Corn, Corn" he crowed.

Or the ultimate repetition, "Hodor" said Hodor.

The crows I can agree with but.......

Shame on you for speaking of hodor like that. Although honestly the penis scene could've been left out, really didn't need to see that elephants trunk.

Yeah, I really like Robb's casting. I think the Lannister casting is beyond perfect though. As someone else said, Tywin is great. He permeates greatness. Tyrion is really good, too, as is Jamie. I'm not crazy about the lady who plays Cersei. And Joffrey must be perfect because I hate him more in the show than I do in the book

all this back and forth about book spoilers is why we need episode threads not season long threads, so you don't have to read through all this.

I have to admit my surprise at the season ending. But then again I love a show where no character is safe.

Although I haven't read the books yet, the whole "Hodor" thing reminds me a bit of "M-o-o-n, that spells 'moon'" from Stephen King's The Stand.

The actor that plays Tyrion is doing a TREMENDOUS job! As stated in an earlier post, he can pop back and forth between aspects of his character with such ease that you start to believe he really is like that.

The kid that plays Joffrey has the look of a smarmy punk that you just want to kick in the face, this plays beautifully into his character. Excellent casting.

Can't wait for next season
