I admit I’m an idiot and keep getting drawn in to his shite even though in my heart I know it’s gonna suck. Another poster brought up The Village, so now I have the courage to admit it. I kind of like it

I went in expecting to hate it and thought it was interesting and pretty good. I thought the premise was sort of cool. It could’ve been better obviously, but I had a low bar.

I’m a fan of the village as well, those “monsters” scared the crap out of me as a kid.

The script was horrible but it had one of the better twist endings I've seen from MNS in a while

So he falls for a ghost? Or an imaginary friend? Oh well, at least Shyamalan can't be accused of plagiarism with this one.

Plot twist: He's the ghost

It was one of the first "scary" movies that I let my kids watch. Pretty tame overall but scary enough.

I feel like we go through this exercise everytime a new M. Night movie is on the horizon

Then people go see it and hate it. It's funny, people hated The Village, but I actually like it.

Or he is the ghost? The house is a ghost? Split universes with rifts and nobody is a ghost? So many twists

Never been able to take Gyllenhaal seriously in any role. He just has a weird face and facial expressions. He ruined The Covenant for me.

So the same plot as A Ghost Story?

eta: C being a ghost in A Ghost Story wasn't really a plot twist now that I think about it.

Nightcrawler was incredible. Enemy was great. Zodiac, Demolition, Source Code.

His career is weirdly up and down, but he has some killer roles on his resume.
