To alcohol, the cause of and solution to all of life's problems - Homer

One of my favorites.

I used to watch The Simpsons religiously but it's been years. Lots of others already mentioned.
A couple that I still laugh about:

"They taste like burning" - Ralph
"My eyes, the goggles do nothing " - Radioactive Man

Homer being an assistant for Burns reading off his phone messages:

"You have 30 minutes to move your car."
"You have ten minutes."
"Your car has been impounded."
"Your car has been crushed into a cube."
"You have thirty minutes to move your cube."

Phone rings. "Hello, Mr. Burns' office"

Burns: "Is it about my cube?"

This one is so stupid but cracks me up every time. In the Join the Navy/Nsync episode they think the promotor's name is L.T. Smash but realize he's actually a recruiter

They peel away the other period on his sign and gasp "LIEUTENANT Smash!!?!?"

"That's right....Lieutenant L.T. Smash" lol so dumb but always gets me.

Also from that same episdoe. He's talking about ways the Navy recruits. "You've got subliminal messaging, liminal, and superliminal".
"What's superliminal?"

Yells out the window at Otto "HEY YOU!! JOIN THE NAVY!!"

"We can't bust heads like we used to. But we have our ways. One trick is to tell stories that don't go anywhere. Like the time I caught the ferry to Shelbyville? I needed a new heel for m'shoe. So I decided to go to Morganville, which is what they called Shelbyville in those days. So I tied an onion to my belt, which was the style at the time. Now, to take the ferry cost a nickel, and in those days, nickels had pictures of bumblebees on 'em. "Gimme five bees for a quarter," you'd say. Now where were we? Oh, yeah. The important thing was that I had an onion on my belt, which was the style at the time. They didn't have any white onions, because of the war. The only thing you could get was those big yellow ones..."

In the episode "This Little Wiggy," after Ralph saves the day, the Leprechaun appears on his shoulder to congratulate him...

Ahh, you've done grand, laddie. Now you know what you have to do. Burn the house down! BURN THEM ALL!!!

Someone already mentioned it, but the Lieutenant L.T. Smash always makes me laugh.

Other than that, its more lines that I use all the time.

Like if I'm in a meeting about my work's insurance, and someone brings up a dental plan, my brain automatically goes

Dental plan
Lisa needs braces
Dental plan
Lisa needs braces

Or when I would take the kids to Disneyworld, and we were riding the monorail, I would start singing the monorail song, and the kids would join in

Monorail
Monorail
Monorail
Mono... Doh!

Judge Snyder? Uuugghh. He's had it in for me ever since I kinda ran over his dog. Well, replace the word 'kinda' with the word 'repeatedly,' and the word 'dog' with 'son.'

The signs they used at various buildings should count, they always had gold.

The visual gags were as good as the writing.

I believe it was a gun store called Bloodbath and Beyond.

In the Cape Fear episode, since they only have 3 fingers and a thumb Sideshow Bob's knuckle tattoos were LUV and HAT with the bar over the A for the long sound.

I felt like the movie was a bit of a disappointment, but I loved Homer and his pig.
*singing* Spider-Pig, Spider-Pig, does whatever a spider-pig does.

He's not Spider-Pig anymore; he's Harry Plopper.

Roughly season ~3 to season ~9ish was just about the highest peak of comedy that's ever existed.

Arrested development, 30 rock, seinfeld, michael-era office are all some of my tops but those early simpsons seasons stand toe to toe with all of them.

Didn't want to start a new thread but while we're on the simpsons I've got a question. Obviously one of the big running gags throughout the series is that we don't' know what state Springfield is in. In the Behind the Laughter episode from probably around season 10ish at the end I swear the voiceover guy says something about "this Northern Kentucky family". I remember watching live and lookign around like "wait...did they just say that?" I know they said it. But nothing has ever been really made about it since. Was that just a literal throwaway line that isn't actual real? Are we to take that at face value?
