People are watching because it’s Nolan which I get.

But compared to The Dark Knight it is straight up trash.

Couldn’t be worse, it would at least be The Odyssey instead of a movie that actively hates the story and characters its based on.

Making promises he’ll never deliver on is kind of his whole schtick

You've never seen these things in a film about ancient Greece, and you probably wouldn't like them.

There are basically no Bronze Age epics true to the Bronze Age, which is sad since it's such a fascinating time in human development.

This is more what Achilles, Agamemnon, etc. would look like:

Actual Mycenean armor:

Who's going to fund the other $300m it would take to complete that project?

Yes, no one said it wouldn't break a billion

FYI, break-even is said to be around $750-$800 million after all of the marketing and theatres get their cut

If Elon makes a decent full-length feature film using Grok, then you might as well say goodbye to Hollywood.

Might be some good deals on San Fernando Valley properties as people flee,

I actually liked tying in the Bronze Age collapse and the sea people, but I do agree actually using the words “age of bronze” was a little silly. Felt like the equivalent of the “Kennedy, John F Kennedy” reveal in Oppenheimer.

Yea Elon misses timelines and he has broken promises.

Successful people, and especially autistic ones like him, can often have more failures than successes, but Elon still delivers.

I don't think he will actually make an Odyssey film but he will see that Grok is used to make movies and video games. He has been saying that is one of the features Grok will have so this isn't new. Elon likes his video games and hates PC libs so he probably will be happy to put a dagger in Hollywood with AI entertainment.

Everybody who does projects of that scope misses timelines. If you're an entrepreneur and you start 30 different ventures some of them are going to flop.

But pretending like Elon isn't accomplished and a very, very capable visionary is retarded. The number of people who can build Space X <<<<< the number of people who can make a movie.
