I watched Spiderman: No Way Home and enjoyed it. The only other MCU movie that remotely interested me was Dr. Strange, until I read that it’s basically a continuation of WandaVision (which I didn’t give a shite about and didn’t watch) that turned the main character into a side character in his own movie. None of their other shows or movies looked even mildly interesting to me.

Oversaturation

To me it is mostly about this. I have collected comic books, specifically Marvel, my entire life. They made too many movies and kept going. I never thought I would ever say something like that. I honestly think the Man of Steel movie is what my tipping point was. And I'm kind of torn because when I sit down and watch some of a movie I haven't seen I usually am surprised at the quality being so good. But ultimately it doesn't keep my interest enough because the formula is stale.

NFL (sports in general) has a similar issue.

The 19 most-viewed shows on TV since the start of the NFL season are all NFL games.

Spider-Man NWH was … amazing, excuse the pun. It was a great call back to the previous Spider-Man movies and even the villains were upgraded. Everyone of them. I was unimpressed with Electro in the first movie, but really enjoyed seeing him again. I think they got it right this time.

I was a big fan of the animated into the spider - verse movie, and was really skeptical of the live action attempt to re-create that type of story. Obviously they nailed it.

* but of course neither of those two movies are Disney.

I watched two episodes of She Hulk. It’s legitimately hard to put into words just how awful it is. Everything about it. It’s so bad that anybody who received any money for working on the show should legitimately feel like they’ve gotten away with robbery. It’s a steaming pile of shite in every aspect

That probably has more to do with bad writers than the concept.

A female superhero is one of the easiest concepts possible. Wonder Woman, Catwoman, Sarah Conner, Sydney Bristow, Charlie's Angels, and Supergirl all worked. Writing a female Hulk is like shooting fish in a barrel. The average person on the street could make entertaining storylines with it.

I agree on the shows. I watched the first episode of She-Hulk and it was just so bad that I haven’t watched since. Haven’t watched any of Ms Marvel. This coming from someone who’s seen everything Marvel has released

And it’s 100% the writers, not the concepts. I’d watch She Hulk if it wasn’t entirely geared to women and against men

AGAIN FOR THE SLOW PEOPLE IN THE BACK: Rotten Tomatoes is owned by the industry it supposedly critiques.

It’s amazing any show gets a bad rating then

And NVM the Video in the OP uses She-Hulks rating as evidence of decline.

And NVm that RT doesn’t critique anything it aggregates ratings.

The movies are fun! I love going to a movie theater for a good popcorn flick... but when it gets to the point that I have to start watching 10 hr series at home just to understand the storyline of the "universe" then I'm done.... I do the movies because its 2-3 hrs 2-3 times a year. Not 10 hours every 2 months....

I have no interest in B-Level heroes, and I don't care about ow it all ties into the multiverse (which IMO they completely dropped the ball on)

End of the day Superhero is it’s own genre of movies.

No one complains about there being too many horror or comedy or dramas.

The flop argument doesn't hold up well. They make tons of money, so regardless if they suck, they aren't a flop.

since Endgame here are their RT audience ratings

You can't base it off that. RT ratings are terrible. I'm burned out on Marvel stuff so I haven't seen Black Widow, Hawkeye, Ms. Marvel, Thor and She-Hulk, but of all the ones I've seen, only WandaVision is worth the rating it has. The number of good movies that have bad ratings and bad movies that have good ratings on RT is astronomical.

Good job. All the woke knights are in full force in here except Jay Arye. I am excitingly anticipating his take.

Only user reviews worth a shite are CinemaScore and to a lesser extent, Letterboxd(but this one has begun to decline rapidly as the chud brigade has discovered it in the last year or so)

No I just don’t blindly follow random YouTubers because they spew out mostly shitty clickbait videos that people like you gobble up

Y’all going to come up with something original next time? That whole routine is getting kind of boring like Season 8 of Game of Thrones

It’s crazy that y’all don’t want to see black people in TV shows but accuse everyone who doesn’t care of never meeting a black person.

Like I give a shite what you think.
I just find it funny.
But if it’s boring you, we could always meet at the Sonic in Dawsonville. Do you need a ride?
Or I could just wait outside your employer’s patchouli shop after you clock out.
Either way. I’m easy. Like your mother. Or do you still call him dad?
