I have not but I planned on skipping HoD because of Season 8 but decided to watch the premiere and it exceeded my expectations. Based on what I've read here many others have similar opinions.

But I did watch 10 years of the MCU. I know Tolkien more than most because I read the books, watched the LOTR trilogy multiple times.
You can’t have it both ways. If they trash the established story, the ones which first got us into their ‘make believe’ world, you can’t blame fans who notice the overt desecration of those franchises.
And it’s not just below average effort by the studios. The directors, writers & actors (adult pretenders) are saying the quiet stuff out loud.
They hate the true fans. Because true fans will hold them accountable for sticking to the source material, at least in spirit , and today’s Hollywood just wants to grift, lecture their agenda & virtue signal on social media.

This is my tinfoil hat conspiracy theory, but I truly believe this shite is all planned. Disney is letting these shows tank so they can fire these people without causing a huge public outcry by the woke mob. That's why you don't see a huge marketing campaign behind most of this shite. Disney knows when they have a hit on their hands and when they don't.
But it gives them a reason to say look how horribly this nonsense performed at the box office/streaming etc. We have to change our direction and here are the numbers to back it up.

Agreed, they are going with a different formula for the show and I enjoy it. However, they made the mistake of teasing Daredevil and now everyone is waiting for him to show up disappointing people every week when he doesn't show.

But, damn if I'm reaching a point where I don't have time to watch all of this shite. It feels like a new show every other month but when you watch more than just Marvel it can make it hard to keep up.
IMO their larger issue is potential oversaturation. And FWIW, I feel the same way about Star Wars if they continue to crank shite out at the same rate.

Same could be said for Star Wars before Mando. The movies were made to get girls to watch. Ironically, no one liked what they did.

The build up to infinity war and end game was a 10 year project and it was amazing....
After the nerd world having a collective orgasm, there needed to be a bit of a refractory period to build up excitement again... but instead Disney decided it was best to keep stroking the nerd Weiner until it was raw.
Couple that with the major shift to wokeness, the significant decrease in quality and you have a recipe for failure.
Oversaturation, overpolitization, and poor quality.
