My favorite was Kreese telling Daniel to not get his crazy cousin as an attorney.. Nice My Cousin Vinny nod

That was one of my favorite parts, as well.

And the moment I see Jaden Smith's face, I'm out.

He’ll be dressed as a woman I’m sure

I could see Jackie Chan being involved next season as an overseas sensei

And I think they are trying to get Hillary Swank on to the show as Tory’s mom…that’s why they’ve never shown her face and it would explain why Tory is such a natural badass

At this point, I am rooting for her more than anyone else besides Johnny/Chozen

Season 6 will have

1. Hillary Swank reveal with Daniel stepping in to provide care/treatment
2. Jackie Chan as a foreign sensei
3. Kreese’s redemption
4. Kumiko coming to tournament to be with Chozen
5. Sensei Kim and Silver as baddies (they Have To be Silver back, he is gold)
6. A current world champion as the baddie who trained directly under Kim and will fight for him

It will be a group style tournament with various challenges. In the end, Robbie will probably win, Kenny will lose to a fighter because he “held back” and learned mercy. Miguel and Sam will fight but I think they don’t win, instead Tory gets her redemption via her mom’s inspiration and she finally moves on with her life. Miguel and Sam ride off into the sunset

Daniel leaves Chozen in Okinawa, finally at peace with Kumiko

Kreese and Johnny come to terms. Johnny finally understands Kreese after Kreese’ redemption

And Johnny, well, it ends with him holding his baby with his family by his side. The last shot is him laying his head down to sleep in peace holding his daughter (echoing the opposite of how the series started)

My only problem with this is it’s doubtful Miyagi wouldn’t have introduced his two students, or at least mentioned each other, if she was living in the valley. Miyagi was around 10 years or so ago, Tory’s aunt or whatever is local as well so it doesn’t seem to line up that Daniel wouldn’t already know Tory’s mom if Julie Pierce is the person in the bedroom.

2. Jackie Chan as a foreign sensei

I would have no problem with this.

3. Kreese’s redemption

No. I’ve said it many times, Kreese isn’t in search of redemption, and doesn’t have any redeeming characteristics. Everything does is selfish and manipulative and he’ll never change.

4. Kumiko coming to tournament to be with Chozen

5. Sensei Kim and Silver as baddies (they Have To be Silver back, he is gold)

Would be disappointing if this is the last we see of him for sure.

I still think Kenny’s brother would be a cool big bad. He’s a legit badass, and if Robby winning is indeed the end game to complete Johnny’s arc, it won’t mean as much if it’s against someone we don’t know imo.

quote:

Sam will fight but I think they don’t win, instead Tory gets her redemption via her mom’s inspiration and she finally moves on with her life

It’s hard to know if they want Sam or Tory at the end. Ultimately Robby=Johnny and Sam=Daniel, so that makes more sense if they want both of them to end up on top imo.

Plus, Tory has already won a championship, tainted or not. Her fighting honorably even in a loss can still be a victory for her.

Miguel and Sam ride off into the sunset

100%

quote:

Kreese and Johnny come to terms. Johnny finally understands Kreese after Kreese’ redemption

I could see Kreese doing something to help Johnny beat Silver, but it wouldn’t be redemption, just that he sees Silver as his bigger enemy at this point.

Johnny realizing that he did have some sort of place in Keeese’s heart is fine, but no full redemption for Kreese. He is irredeemable in KK imo. He is as bad as Silver. Just because he may somewhat care a bit for Johnny deep down doesn’t change his full commitment to Cobra Kai and the way of the fist.

I’m not sure if it was you or someone else that brought this up recently, but I definitely think Johnny will inherit Sid’s money as well.

He deserves it, and he’ll do good for Robby, Miguel, Carmen, and the baby with it, hell probably even Tory, not to mention the kids he’ll be able to reach with a real funded dojo, aka Miyagi-Kai

Also, no more Barnes in your S6??!!!!

I get that but I don’t see how they aren’t pulling out ALL stops to make the mother Hillary Swank

Tory even kinda looks like her (at least passable)

I won’t be upset if it isn’t her, but they committed to not revealing her identity for a reason.

They could easily write a backstory that had Julie travel the world and have a run of bad circumstances leading her back to the valley, too sick to see Miyagi off.

It is odd that Daniel, even in the story we have now, has never even mentioned her…at all. In this universe, it seems like he was Miyagi’s only student. That means either, she’ll never be referenced, or Daniel knows nothing of her opening the door for some odd backstory

And yea, they doubled down on Kreese being super evil at the end of S5 but they’ve dropped WAY too many crumbs about him “still being a good man” and truly loving Johnny that I don’t see how this doesn’t come back into play. We can also kinda assume that Kreese’ anger would be directed at Silver in S6 (assuming Silver is back, and I think that’s a necessity at this point. TIG should win an award for his portrayal)

I can see them trying to bring in Hillary Swank as Tory’s mom. I think it can be handled ok to have Daniel not know about her. The writers have been good about not boxing themselves in.

Some things that I would have if I was a writer

- Silver is too slimy to stay in jail, he’ll figure a way out
- Kenny’s brother becomes the Boss. No one is physically intimidating except his brother. He’ll be the Chong Li of the tournament
-I’m not sure if Kreese stays out of prison. It’s a tragic ending to his story if he is back in jail because of his escape.
-if Chozen and Kumiko get together, would like to see a tea ceremony since it was a big part of KK2.
- Bobby marrying Johnny and Carmen

I think one redemption arc for Kreese would be if say Silver buys his way out of jail, reforms Cobra Kai for the tournament, Daniel & Johnny's students defeat Cobra Kai in the tournament, and then Sliver flips out and goes full out to destroy Daniel and/or Johnny and their families, and Kreese realizing the only way to stop Silver once and for all (and save Johnny and his family) is to kill him, and Kreese gets hauled off to jail for the rest of his remaining years.

I don't think anyone has died by violence in a Karate Kid flick, though. But I like the idea.

Hillary Swank, fair game. Jaden Smith or Jackie Chan, not.

I actually think Swank AND Jackie Chan will show up. Despite Jaden Smith being unbearable, Jackie Chan was actually a really good mentor and really the only other person to follow Pat Morita as a sensei. And Chan was actually really good in the role.

Plus I feel like the kids have learned all they can learn from the Chozen, Johnny and Daniel

The problem with Kreese is that he’s an escaped convict. So he won’t be able to really operate out in the open at all, nor will he be able to really be in contact with any of the main cast. They pretty much all hate him and would (should) report him to the police immediately. Especially if Silver is not in prison (which you’d have to think he won’t be and will find a way to get off and be involved in S6).

Also, I still am holding out hope that they can get Chad McQueen in the show. With how well they’ve done bringing so many characters back, my soul will cry a little if we can get some Dutch on the show.

I imagine they’ll solve the Kreese situation by setting him up in a foreign country with no extradition. China, maybe, where the tournament could be held for all we know.

See, this I could see, and isn’t far off from what I was saying. If it comes down to Silver vs Johnny, no question Kreese will protect Johnny now that he knows where he stands with Silver imo. But again, that’s just as much a frick you to Terry as it is some huge redemption for Kreese.

But I could see the scene, Kreese teams up with Johnny to defeat Silver. As Johnny walks away, Kreese warns him that as long as Silver is alive his family will never be safe, Johnny says that’s not the way.

Kreese then stands over Silver the way Miyagi stood over him in KK and Daniel stood over Chozen in 2. But instead of honking his nose, he looks back at Johnny and says No Mercy, and gives him the chop to the throat ending it.

Kreese saved Silver’s life in Nam, so would feel it’s his to take. He’d try to pass it off as a big sacrifice for Johnny, but again, as always, it was for his own personal motivations as to why he ultimately does what he does.

I’m not sure I see Kreese rotting in jail. Again, he’s no martyr. But him sneaking away to some island country and finding some village kids being bullied and asking them if they want to learn to defend themselves as it fades from him grinning to the Cobra Kai logo that ends every episode would be BADASS.

But legally that is irrelevant. He was convicted and the Silver shite hadn’t been sorted out before he escaped.

He did assault a police office during his arrest, so there's that.

That works even better.

Dutch gets out of prison and finds his old sensei Kreese hiding from the law. Dutch runs cobra Kai with Kreese directing everything from the shadows.

I doubt it. They wouldn't want a Miyagi student to be a hapless cancer patient with shitty relatives whose always been poor. I think she comes back as an even bigger money threat to defeat Silver and/or to physically defeat the big female bad.

Every past character that they've brought in has brought a strength to either the good or bad guys. I don't think they'd waste 2 Oscar Swank on being a dying cancer lady.
