Well...she did marry him...after he became a multi-millionaire. So, there's that.

Ah that’s true, she did marry him at the end. But she didn’t do it for his money and she gave him a family.
I’m not arguing she’s an angel. Just that she wasn’t totally evil.
She didn't contact him until after she got sick. Were she not terminally ill (the movie suggests HIV/AIDS but it's Hep-C in the book), do we really think that she would have contacted Forrest and married him?

She quits on her team just before the start of the Championship series. Comes back just in time for the last game only to tank that game costing her team the title in order to give her sister a false sense of accomplishment.
Can't forget that she is also the one that gets her sister traded, that ends up being the hero of the championship for her team before this because she couldn't deal with her personal shite with her sister. Dottie was a bitch that definitely dropped the ball.

Ah that wasn’t her fault, Kit was an insufferable c*nt all the more reason to not drop the ball to give her a fake victory

I always thought she dropped the ball on purpose too.

This might be an unpopular take, but after watching The Lord of the Rings again, Frodo.
Sam saves Frodo from the orcs and carries his arse to Mount Doom after Frodo trusts a back stabbing Gollum over Sam, who’s been his friend the entire time, and then he has the audacity to keep the ring for himself instead of throwing it in the lava. The only reason the ring was destroyed was because his bitch arse threw Gollum into the lava fighting him for the ring. And then Sam saves his bitch arse AGAIN. And then he doesn’t even tell Sam he’s going with Bilbo to the land of the undying until he’s about to get on the boat. He’s a self-serving, whiny little bitch the entire trilogy.
GeauxLSUGeaux, there are some pivotal aspects of this story that while presented clearly many times, seem to have still evaded you. Frodo was doing his best.

I don’t know, but she was terminally ill. Not like she was a gold digger cleaning him out. Didn’t she also already have his kid by that time? it was the right thing to do to make sure her kid and his father were brought together.
And in any case, a truly evil Jenny would’ve married him and took his money and never gave him any sex. You know Forrest would’ve married her and given her all his money at any time.

I don't think she dropped the ball on purpose because she told the pitcher how to strike her out. Kit just got lucky and hit one of those high ones and bowled her over. Kit wanted it more.

I’ll add this disagreeable, feckless, ungrateful, faithless, self indulgent whore. She trumps Rose and is a close second to Skylar. IMO.

Haven’t seen that movie in a while but didn’t he start running right after she left?

Skylar White is the true villain of Breaking Bad
this is such a lazy, lousy trope.
quote:
not because she breaks laws, but because she breaks trust
lame AI-sounding platitude. Let's not forget the very beginning of the series walt 1) lies about his disease 2) starts making meth 3) has a second cell phone he lies about 4) invents a fugue state, and probably dozens more examples....nbut yeah, Skyler is the one with "trust" issues...
quote:
constantly shifting moral positions
I wonder if this person even watched BB. We're talking morals now? I think on the morality scale there are plenty fo other people juuuuuuust a bit higher up (or lower, however you view it) than her in the show.
quote:
Walt’s overt criminality—because at least he’s honest about being the bad guy. Skylar? She just wants plausible deniability and control.
Skylar single handedly got them off the hook from the feds. The IRS was sniffing around ted beneke big time and his cooked books, of which skyler was aware of. We all know capone was brought down not because of murder but taxes. The IRS doesn't frick around. If they started snooping into skyler's life the jig is up and they are copmletely fricked. And beneke being the complete fricking loser moron he is kept buying new cars instead of pyaing his debt. That's why skyler took the $600K from walt and gave to ted, to get the IRS off their back. If it wasn't for that this tale ends up wildly different.
Skyler acted for the most part how any normal, regular, everyday wife/mom would act the first half of the series. Once she really gets into the game that's another story but people hate on her so much simply for ating like a normal person would in the sceniaors she's faced with, which I dont get at all. most people just hate skyler becuase she's a road block in the way fo the protagnoist we're pulling for.

Beat me to it.
“But she was abused by her dad blah blah and blah “
Spare me. She dumped on the one person in her life who showed her unconditional love for her entire life. She’s worse than Thanos.
She made a ton of bad decisions but eventually cleaned up her life, got a job, raised a son, spent the last years of her life with the only man who loved her, and made that man the happiest man in the world.
Not telling Forrest about Forrest until she did was simply a narrative choice for the movie for maximum effect when they were introduced. And it worked.
P.S. In an alternative universe, they get married after high school and he dies in 'Nam. Pick one version to turn into a book and movie.

Breaking Bad is so great in that they make you root hard for the anti-hero so much that you hate an otherwise normal house wife.

Just because you lived through something doesn’t give you the right to frick with everybody else’s life.
Especially the one who unapologetically loved you.
And you don’t think Forest endured trauma? That’s cute.

Do you not understand that’s exactly why Gandalf sent Samwise with him? Frodo needs protection. With this hot take, you’re discounting the influence of The One Ring, the actual villain of the film. No one, even Frodo, can resist the temptation of the ring of power.
Agreed.

You do realize that Frodo volunteers to take the ring initially, by himself, and it's because of the ring's influence that he gets worse along the way, right?
The ring is an extension of Sauron's will, and it's corrupting Frodo just like it did Bilbo and Gollum, only more quickly because Sauron is more active and working his power more and more through the ring.
It’s funny how many pedestrian upvotes the post you’re replying to got, despite being so wrong. Blood in the water I guess.
Do better people.

Cal wasn't even that bad when you look at it from his point of view. He loved Rose, proposed to her, bought her everything she could possibly want and even paid for her and her mother to return home to America on the most luxurious accommodations that existed at the time
Rose is an insufferable suffrage- like hero to Hollywood and modern girls, she gets whatever she wants but still complains about being a slave....she uses men for whatever, whenever...and when she's old, she still speaks and sees the world like a spoiled teenager. Rose cared about Rose until the end....there is little difference between young Rose and flighty air-headed old Rose.

Renee Zellweger in Appaloosa. She used the clumsy, coy damsel-in-distress act to reel in a poor guy and drops his arse the minute someone more powerful shows up. In fact, she plays that same character in all her movies.

Better late than never. Had she been a gold digger, she could’ve easily swindled his money way earlier. She never did.
