So why did he turn that job down? Nobody would do that. Partner and all that cash??? What did I miss?

I've been saving 'Lost' for this Summer.

i thought it was a good episode if it was in the middle of the season. not the last episode.

The depressing part of watching a show in real time.
NO shite. I watched BB on Netflix in a week or so.

Idk, I think he's gonna break bad to Saul Goodman. No telling.

A fish gotta be a fish.
Slippin' Jimmy gotta be slippin' Jimmy. He knows who and what he is. The ring is a reminder.

Pride.
Piss off Chuck?
Realized he was happy in Chicago as slippin Jimmy and that's how he should live?
I like that he broke but the "straw that broke the camel's back" was vague at best.

He rejected the straight-edge approach his brother pushed on him, opting instead for a possibly more lucrative (and obviously more 'dirty') approach.

you have to remember that before this season even started that it was already scheduled for a second season.
It was a six season episode, but the AMC front office must have like what came after

as a season finale, its sucked about as much as it possibly could
Quite disappointing. Like Jimmy, the writers took the week off.

Really weak finale. Awesome season, but damn. This episode was very average.

Yeah I think that was a big clue. I all the "here we see Hank with a salt shaker...salt is white...white is pure...Hank is good. Walt is holding pepper which is black with just a little white...good intentions but overall bad guy" type discussion and over-analyzation but yeah, I think the ring was it.
Going to Chicago and hanging with Marco played into it too but the execution, IMO, was poor.

I don't particularly like how he "broke bad" there at the end as a first reaction. He had a true huge opportunity with that other law firm working on a huge case. The opportunity to make big money and be a big deal was lying right there for him, and he gave it up for the opportunity to make money dishonestly just to spite Chuck. Meh.
I guess the point is that he just likes the thrill of the scam. It isn't even about the money for him. I guess I'll have to think about it from that angle. Like Marco said, running those scams was the best week of his life.

This. The money is a scorecard of sorts. The thrill of the scam/deal is what he lives for.

Your post just made me like the episode more. That was the point I guess. Deep down, he is Slippin' Jimmy, and he's damn good at it.
