We're filtering out the riff raff and getting to the big dogs now fellas.

The round of 32 was almost ALL CHALK. Our biggest Cinderella stories are #5 seeds in Silence of the Lambs and The Blair Witch Project. We had over 200 voters which was awesome but some of the matches were snooze fests because very few matches were close, The Blair Witch Project vs The Omen being the closest.

But on we roll to the Sweet Sixteen! Nothing but heavy hitters left in the tournament now so this could go any way.

Friendly reminder I did not determine the seeding, you did.

I think we can all join hands and as one vote for Texas Chainsaw Massacre over Poltergeist right? And LFG Psycho you can do this.

1. The Shining

i was huge Halloween fan growing up, but Scream changed the game for me when i first saw it.

a "who-dunnit" movie, to me, is always better than a "big-bad".

i hope Scream wins.

The Shining vs. Silence of the Lambs was the hardest pick for me.

The ring vs The Exorcist is rough. The Exorcist is arguably the GOAT but The Ring was the first horror movie that fricked me up bad. Saw it in theatre when I was only 13 and was terrified for months

Like I said, Horror is just going to be chalk basically when you get down to the top 20 or so.

A core childhood memory is a perfect reason to get a vote imo.

Voted with the link to build the suspense.

You know you have some good matchups when you feel bad for making some of your choices. And it's probably just gonna get worse.

BTW, you might want to check the poster for The Exorcist . . .

Most surprising thing to me is the support for Psycho. Just not scary at all to me when I watched it. Nightmare was/is to me one of the best scary movie plotlines ever. It still is just as relevant now as it was then. If you can't sleep, you die eventually and when you sleep he kills you.

Yep. I chose Hereditary over Alien, but that one was rough.
