So much doom and gloom before this game, you would think we would have come up short today.
This team is ready to take on the World Cup. I think we are destined for a big showing in a couple of weeks.

This is pretty ridiculous. Yeah O crashed and burned and screwed us for 2 straight seasons, but honestly it was worth it for 2019.
Who hired Joe Brady? Who retained Aranda as the DC? Ensminger was still instrumental for that team. Who promoted Ensminger to the OC? Who recruited numerous players that helped win it all in 2019? If all credit goes to Bill Busch for bringing Burrow on, then who hired Bill Busch as well?
Oh yeah, O did all of those things. You can be mad at him for flaming out, but don’t be disingenuous. Without O, not all of those pieces get put together, to build the greatest CFB team of all time.

Any chance LSU can finish out with Montero, Graves, and Burks, or is that a pipe dream?
A dream finish would be LSU somehow landing Montero, and Graves, and the last 2 guys being filler pieces like Nunez.
Honestly Hampton staying in the 27 class works for me. I already think LSU is going to have a very good team next season, especially if they get Graves or Montero.
So hopefully LSU lands Hampton, and Spears in the 27 class, and sets up for another elite team after next year.

I said Vijay is of Indian descent if you read my entire post. He is from Fiji, and Fijian. You cherry picked what I said. Try reading an entire thought.

How are you counting Rai, and not Vijay in this? If Vijay doesn’t count, then by your logic Rai doesn’t count. Vijay was from Fiji, and Rai from England. If Vijay does count, than Rai does too. They are both of Indian descent, but not Indian.

This is what I’m hoping for. A rather boring tournament so far, but that would push it past that.
Rose is within 3 shots of the lead, and one of the biggest names out there for 2 decades, and I don’t think they have showed a single Rose shot the entire day. I didn’t even know he was at 3 under.

Scottie left so many out there this week with his putter. If his putter was even “solid” he probably wins this week. It’s the worst I’ve seen his putter in probably years.

3 majors total in 5 years? So 3 major wins across 18 opportunities? Minus the US Open, and the Open this year for 20 possible tries? There is no narrative. LIV still has a few of the top guys in the world. Is it crazy they are still winning the majors at a 1/6th clip? It’s still a sham of a “league” Rahm is a top 3 golfer in the world. Him winning does nothing for LIV other than solidifying what everyone already knows about Rahm, and putting him on career grand slam watch.

That deserves to get Yeskie fired. He’s been solid for us in a couple different seasons, but it’s almost impossible to be that bad. Jay needs to give Yeskie a pink slip, and go nuclear in the portal.

Year 9, of me hoping somehow Speith can complete the career grand slam. I root for it every year, and it has become a lost cause. He just hasn’t been the same since the Masters choke. He’s actually somewhat competed this year. 4 Top 12 finishes.
Sounds like a year that is destined to have, Rory and Scottie competing towards the top. Young will be up there. Gut tells me Fitzpatrick isn’t in contention come Sunday. Bryson likely competes.
I’ll feel great about any of Scottie, Speith, or Bryson taking it home. I’ve never been a fan of Brooks, but somehow find myself rooting for him to be towards the top of the leaderboard. I find myself rooting for Brooks a little more after his return to the PGA.
Nobody will be shocked with a Scottie or Rory win, but a win, inches them closer and closer towards the best ever. If Young wins, he solidifies himself moving forward as a guy who can win multiple majors.
I also want to see Fowler compete.

The Shining
Jaws
Jaws, and Halloween is a tough one, because Jaws is the better movie, but I don’t only consider it a Horror flick. As opposed to Halloween where you have a masked mad man running around town, stalking people, hunting them down, and killing them. Vote goes to the better movie in Jaws, and me remembering it does still have the Horror elements.

Last night’s episode rocked. I was a little bit skeptical with Mr. Beast showing up for the auction, but someone else already mentioned it, it was by far the best twist of the entire season so far.
I liked Steph, but her gameplay was pretty poor. She was somewhat correct in that it was Jonathon’s overall plan, but she was on board from the jump. What screwed Steph was her inability to lie to Cirie, and I think an even bigger thing, was outright admitting to the entire tribe, and jury, that she will never be the driver for any vote, or semblance of a plan. Yes, she’s trying to deflect the target off her back, and some people get carried because of zero threat to win, but how silly to sit there and admit to the jury (who is voting on the winner) that you’re a sheep, and will never come up with a plan yourself.
Rizzo gets a lot of shite from y’all, yes he’s arrogant, but he’s playing a pretty solid season. He’s playing a better season than most other people, and we are talking about people who have played 3-4 times.
I don’t mind Cirie, but it would make for a somewhat boring winner. She is a great person, has the “mom” persona, and her ability to control the narrative, and summon an army to carry out her plans is pretty impressive I will say.
I’ve done a complete 180 again on Devins. I really liked him in Edge of Extinction. The first half of this game, I was not a fan of his game really whatsoever. The last 3 weeks, he has won me over again. Almost to the point I’m rooting for him more so than anyone except for maybe Ozzy. I still think his “fake idol” at Tribal was a great moment. Then having the balls to put his game on the line for a 50/50 chance at going home or an extra million was wild. Yeah he was on the chopping block, but I loved the way he said “I want it”
Emily, Tiff, and Aubry doing their usual. They still had no business being here, but at least Tiff has won some immunity’s.
I really like Joe as a person, but he has zero prowess when it comes to strategic play. He is almost too good of a person to be playing a cutthroat game. The aww shucks good guy act can work, but this is also a game show for a lot of money, and at some point you have to seperate and say to yourself, you are playing a game, this is no indictment on my overall character.
Jonathon is still playing much better this time around from a strategic standpoint, but he has been going pretty hard the last couple of weeks, I think he will get the boot soon.
I still think Ozzy has played the best game up to this point. He’s a challenge threat, has an idol still, and has really surrounded himself with relationships from pretty much every single person left in the game outside of maybe Tiff.
I think the Final 9 is going to be pretty good. Again, great overall episode. Survivor Auction, a massive twist, an incredible Tribal Council, flipping a coin for a million dollars, Devins being safe, and now gaining an idol, and a “live Tribal” Kudos to Mr. Beast on throwing in a million to the pot. Survivor has had the same payout for a quarter century, and even if this season hasn’t been exactly what I hoped for, it is still Season 50. 2 million for the winner I’m good with.

Stars are dominating special teams this series.
9/20 on the powerplay and 16/19 on penalty kills. Stars are such a defensive oriented team with a fantastic powerplay.
Like someone mentioned above though, they have been terrible at full strength, and it will be hard to beat Minnesota if this continues another 2 1/2 games.
Roberston and Duchene have been incredible this series.

Decent episode as a whole. Christian was one of the people I was rooting for. He can be annoying, but he’s unintentionally funny as hell. The way he left the game sucked pretty bad for him. The penalty for losing the challenge was certainly very harsh. On the other hand though, he did volunteer to go, and Christian who is known for being one of, if not the best Survivor puzzle players ever, failed and wasn’t even particularly close. Side note on that, I noticed his puzzle skills were way down this season compared to him on David vs. Goliath.
Emily is still Emily. Annoying as hell. Sounds like she’s never made rice a day in her life. I get rationing to an extent, but they just landed a massive bag of rice to last them the game, there are only 10 or so days left, and will still be reward challenges. Harping on it as much as she did, was insane.
I don’t dislike Cirie, but I don’t understand the pull she has in this game. She has also done this most times she has played Survivor. I get it, she’s the likable, older women, who is probably looked at as a “mom” by the younger tribe mates, but man they let her dictate nearly everything when it comes to making moves/who to send home/how to dictate and distribute votes. She will win this game, if they don’t take her out when the game dwindles down to 5-6 players.
I am really hoping for some big moves, but time is running out. Hell the “biggest move” of the season so far was Devens “fake idol” at Tribal find, that did work out, and he played it perfectly, but that’s about all we’ve been given.
No successful shot in the darks, no successful idol plays, no really major blindsides. It seems like every week going into Tribal the viewers are pretty much dead set on 1 to MAYBE 2 names that will go home, and inevitably they do. Gameplay has been pretty sub-par IMO, especially considering every person has played this game multiple times now.
I guess for me, it’s Steph, and Ozzy at the top of my list who I’m rooting for. Jonathon and Joe would be okay. Joe’s gameplay is pretty weak though outside of competitions. Jonathon has been a much more strategic player this time around at least. Devens is now playing the underdog story, and that can be something to root for.
Any of Emily, Tiffany, Aubry would be the worst Survivor winners of all time. I know none of them will win, but the fact the 3 of them are still there is a joke.
Next week is Survivor Auction. Always a good time, and makes for a fun episode. We will see how it turns out though, because they are bringing the YouTuber on to do it. I just hope the Auction sticks to old school auction, with possibly a twist, or advantage that looks like it’s coming no matter what.

Scottie is a machine. He’ll win double digit majors before he hangs it up. He was down 3 shots, with 4 holes to go. His pitch on 18 was incredible, and put all the pressure on Fitz, who then proceeded to hit a pathetic chip.

Agree. Vitello had Tennessee in contention every year. That’s my measuring stick.
Jay has won 2, of the past 3 National Championships. Vitello won 1, in 8 years at Tennessee.
Tennessee factually, was not in contention every year. Vitello’s first year, Tennessee struggled to reach .500 overall. Vitello didn’t make Omaha till year, 4. They may have in Year 3 (Covid Year) but no way to know that for a fact. Tennessee also missed Omaha in 2022, and 2025. Hell, Vitello missed Omaha with a super team in 2022.
Tennessee made Omaha in 2023, but that team wasn’t some daunting force. So Vitello made it to the CWS 3 times in 8 years, and did it 3 out of 4 years. 2022 they got lucky to even make it there.
I’m not sure why your bar for LSU and Jay is lower than what Jay has already accomplished.
Don’t get it twisted either. I’m not sticking up for this 26 LSU team, they are playing horrible baseball. Just saying Jay is still the best there is, and Vitello doesn’t even compare to what Jay has done.
