I don't understand why y'all put so much stock in RT reviews. A bunch of self-indulgent, pretentious people who think they know everything about what makes a great movie.
That being said, the movie probably does suck.

If this continues, where does DC go from here? If the fans still dig it and it makes a billion dollars like Transformers, do they continue? I don't know where the frick they go from here...

Well that seems like a downer based on what we were hearing yesterday, but more in line with what I would expect based on the previews and premise.

We should relax until we all see the movie and judge for ourselves

It'll go up. I said between 60-65% on RT. Snyders movies don't get high scores.

jett from batman on film seems to think it's just kinda meh

BATMAN v SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE is a dark and serious film with a lot going on. In fact, I recommend at least two views to take it all in. It was very different from what I was expecting to see -- and I was expecting it to be dark, complex, and serious. While the TV spots and trailers did a decent job of deceiving the audience, there are some major story beats that I are “unexpectedly obvious,” if you will. In other words, once you see the film, you might say to yourself, “I didn’t see that coming, but I did.”
BATMAN v SUPERMAN was OK...but I wanted to love it. I wanted it to blow me and away and move me emotionally. It didn't. As of this writing, I've seen it twice and plan to see it several more times (tickets already purchased for this Thursday and Friday evenings). While I enjoyed a lot of this film, there are parts that just didn’t resonate with me. Some story threads went on too long and some were resolved too quickly. The CGI was annoying and/or distracting at times (i.e. Doomsday). I'm honestly struggling to pin a specific letter grade for this film. In fact, I might not place one on this movie (but if I did, it wouldn't be an F, D or A).
Nevertheless, now that I am post-BvS, I can say that I am looking forward to seeing much more of Mr. Affleck’s Batman (The solo Batfleck Batflick needs to be greenlit and fast-tracked ASAP!), Mr. Cavill’s Superman (Superman deserves another solo film), and Ms. Gadot’s Wonder Woman (can't wait for her movie). Together? I'm not sure. In that regard, BvS didn't do its job. - Bill "Jett" Ramey
(HEADS UP: No need to sit through the ending credits.)

Without a doubt, although this doesn't bode well for their stand alone films.
I don't believe the casual movie goer gives a shite about a Wonder Woman, Cyborg, or Aquaman film.

Incoming DC fan boys, "must be marvel fanboizzz hating they greatness that is Ben as Batman vs Superman."
And it's such a bullshite argument. Batman and Superman are my two favorite heroes, and Luthor and Joker are among my two favorite villains (along with X-Men and Magneto respectively). I'm not all that loyal to Marvel aside from the X-Men. I much prefer the DC Universe to the Marvel Universe. Plus the fans have been highly vocal on their disappointment with Ultron.
Bruce Timm knows how it's done. Why they didn't hand this entire universe over to him from the start is simply baffling to me. He could have gotten one hell of a good plan together. Instead they rush it without thinking it through, and then decide that "The Dark Knight Returns" is the best way to launch a franchise. This universe has been seemingly poorly thought out. Bruce Timm could have done it magnificently.
I still have high hopes for Suicide Squad though, and where they're taking Batman himself.

I just think it's odd that Twitter blew up yesterday praising it as the best comic book movie of the past five years, yet here we are with an 11%?

I'm not judging the movie. I'm judging the direction of the company from here. Critics will not decide if I like the movie, but I care if this will put things in disarray. It's just disappointing.

What did people expect, really?

Well, they are saying he is the best part.
Suicide Squad looks like it will suck as well, and I really wanted it to be good. The trailer I watched during Deadpool was just awful.

I'm really going to see this for the same reason I go see Transformers films.
They have much better stories than what Transformers has. I won't let my standards for these two characters sink because of what Snyder, Goyer, and the studio has done to them (Superman at least since the reviews indicate they got Batman spot on). Watch the 80s Transformers series and then any of Bruce Timm's series on the characters and get back to me on which one we should have a higher standard for.

I am finding it a bit funny that the biggest thing people were complaining about 18 months ago (Affleck) is the best part of the film.

It isn't odd that nerds who probably bought/found/won/were interested enough in seeing the film, who are also interested enough in tweeting about the film were "super pumped and so excited!!!!!" about it.
They want people who will champion the film to see it first, simple marketing. Not people who will critique it honestly, or who are not it's target audience. They aren't going to bring in a bunch of soccer moms or people who don't tweet.

I don't feel like going back but I know I wasn't alone when he was casted saying "He'll be the best part of the film."
