To expound on my earlier point, Snyder has always been a joke. Go back and watch Watchmen again. At the time we just enjoyed that we had an adult comic book story, but go watch it. Watch how obvious and embarrassing the musical cues are. The editing.

It's a shite film. He's a shite, staid director.

That said, there are plenty of films that did shitty on the tomato meter, that I still enjoyed.

It's about to break 50 on metacritic, which is good.

I'll be happy to be above 40% at this point.

It's at 40.

The first half of the reviews were almost all bad, then the good reviews started to pour in. I'm thinking that some of the critics were hoping to be the first bad review for notoriety's sake.

The only thing I care about is that even the negative reviews say Affleck killed. That's all that matters to me. I don't care about Superman, GL, Aquaman, Flash or Wonder Woman movies or a justice league movie.

But if Batman is legit I'm okay

There are problems with such a centrally focused universe, aka the Wolverine effect. It's no fun and really good characters - like a Barry or a Hal - will get shoehorned into a Batman-centric worlds. It ends up becoming so one note. The X franchise saved itself over the last two films with Mystique, but they are the Wolverine kick for so long.

I'd dislike it immensely if what we get is yet another Batman series. There are other good stories to tell. And many don't involve Batman.

Maybe it's Chrome?

Batman has so many more stories to explore. We never got a decent robin or nightwing. His universe has the best rogue gallery comics, and most of it hasn't been explored on screen well.

I use Chrome, and I'm getting 39%. If the number of critics ratings is right, then both of those percentages are wrong.

Mine stayed at 8% with 27 reviews in when reloading on chrome.

I had to close my chrome tab, search google again for it, and reload RT for it to update the RT% (now shows 41%).

I agree, but more Batman just because isn't necessarily a good thing. And I actually prefer Dick Grayson's overall arc to Wayne's. He's just a better, more refined character. And has way more variability. (Grayson is probably my third favorite character behind Rogers and Summers). You're right, Batman has some amazing stories. But we'll never get a decent Robin or Nightwing because everything will be Bruce focused. That's the problem. Even in a Batman world, we'll just get Batman.

Yes, most of everything hasn't bee explored on film. Blackest Night? All-Star Superman? Rebirth? Flashpoint? etc. We don't get any of that if we just constantly get Batman stuff.

I'm still seeing it. I take any RT rating with a serious grain of salt. Yelp for movies
