Some folks on this board really struggle with grasping that every single major movie isn’t marketed to them. It’s a weird phenomenon.

my two teenage sons are excited about Barbie. my oldest is super excited about Oppenheimer.

They are straight maculine males who are in multiple sports. My youngest has commented on Ryan Gossling's rizz, my oldest loves Christopher Nolan and Greta Gerwig.

They both love Jesus and females. I don't understand it.

Reviews for both films come out today. Here's a recommendation from a critic
quote:

@MovieMantz

Now that I’ve seen #BARBENHEIMER, I highly recommend watching #BARBIE first, then #OPPENHEIMER! “Barbie” is really fun, but “Oppenheimer” stays with you — you don’t wanna be thinking about “Oppenheimer” while watching “Barbie!” (Or maybe you do?)

This would be almost like pairing Barbie together with Schindlers list.

That’s what I told my wife. I remember when I first saw Schindler’s List. I didn’t talk much for a couple of days. It affected me deeply. I was in college and was so troubled by it. I’ve only seen it once.

I’m expecting this to have a similar effect. Oppenheimer, not Barbie.

Happens a lot with Nolan movies for whatever reason.

There's a 9am showing on Friday, $8 ticket, at the local theater. I'm tempted.

Yeah, mostly positive. I did just watch Alfonso Duralde's reaction. He's a top critic, one of the good ones, and he was pretty harsh on the film. He says the dialogue is freaking terrible

I have a group of guys and girls and we're doing a double feature on Friday night. Have almost a whole row taken up at our theater and some of us have even purchased some Barbenheimer shirts. Doing drinks and cigars at halftime.

To the people that don't get it or complaining about guys going to see Barbie, I would say lighten up a bit. If you took two minutes reading about the premise you'll realize it's not for little girls or some sort of chick flick.
