Really? The pod-race and the light-saber finale are the only re-watchable parts for me. The sound effects, motion/choreography of both scenes were outstanding.

My initial issue with TPM right out of the theater was the seemingly ho-hum/effortless invincible-ness of the Jedi's in the opening scene(s). An endless barrage of robots nor sea-monsters ever posed a threat or made you feel like they were ever in danger. It wasn't until Maul challenged them that there was any slight danger on deck.

Even Jedi Luke in RotJ was vunerable enough to be fooled into the rancor pit, have his hand blasted on the barge, and would've died if Darth didn't have a change of heart. He wasn't an invincible Superman.

I'm guessing you haven't watched The (Totally) Phantom Menace if you can still enjoy the final duel.

Revenge of the Sith is the second best Star Wars movie behind Empire Strikes Back. Don't give a shite what any of you nerds say.

In retrospect, I should've known the entire franchise was doomed when they re-edited Episode IV so that Greedo shoots first.

The worst part is that the trailer was perfect. I think as soon as I saw Obi Wan’s hairstyle was different in the hanger from what it was three minutes earlier that there was going to be problems.

I kind of liked this though. We finally saw fully trained Jedi knights in their prime. We never really got to see Luke that way. In ROTJ he was still inexperienced.

My kids wanted to see TPM. Star Wars came out when I was in junior high and I loved the original trilogy so I was looking forward to taking them. I fell asleep halfway through. I slogged through the next one (AotC?). Never made it to the third one.
Rarely have I ever had movies make such little impact. Even the shitty movies I've seen I can recall plot points or dialogue - or at least the reasons I thought they sucked. TPM and the next ones were so dreadfully tedious and boring; to this day I can't recall a single thing from them. Even reading y'all's recounts doesn't jog a single memory of that dreck.

It sucked from the opening scroll. Bunch of poli board trade agreement and blockade bs. Naboo...what a dump.

It probably took me a about a year. I wanted to like it too much to admit it sucked

Star wars fandom couldn't bring themselves to admit that the most anticipated movie of all time was a gigantic piece if crap. It took a year of two for all the denial to fade.

Why the hell did they let him shave his head for Black Hawk Down knowing he had reshoots? The wig is terrible.

One thing I never got about this movie that seems like a glaring mistake (or it was a glaring oversight in Revenge of the Sith to finish the prequel trilogy this way)... when Obi Wan is having his final fight against Anakin, he wins by having the high ground. He told Anakin it was over as if the high ground was a certified death sentence.

In TPM, Obi Wan does the same exact thing Anakin does in 3, but he kills Darth Maul instead. I always hated that ending to TPM on its own, but considering the ending to 3, it’s beyond stupid. Darth Maul is just standing there like a dope until he gets cut in half. In 3, Obi Wan slices Anakin in midair, which is exactly what would happen.

That and the new SWs films are a function of the changing attitudes of today's youth. They think that 1. they shouldn't have to work for anything and 2. that their elders have nothing worthwhile to teach them. Which is a complete reversal from the relationships of Luke - Obi Wan/Yoda, and the naiveté of Luke vs the Mary Sue they put in the new movies. People these days aren't patient enough to wait for a character to grow. They want a badass superhero NOW.
