Just finished the second episode and yeah the husband definitely did it.

I actually remember when this all went down. Cumming is a pretty quiet town so when anything big happens everyone hears about instantly. Crazy to see my hometown ina Netflix documentary

Mostly solid other than the ufo episode. First one was best. Remember Derrick Todd Lee being in the original when he attacked a couple in a graveyard with a machete or something.

Are we gonna talk about the UFO episode?

That was the only one the discredits the series. Sorry, don’t get into UFOs. Think all cases are hoaxes.

First one: suicide was staged. Obviously he and his friend were into some shady trading, etc and took a hit. Friend prob didn’t do it, but had threats to stay quiet. Definitely knows what went down.

The black guy is the saddest one. Seemed like a nice guy who ended up at the wrong party way too late. Was prob drunk and got into a scuffle with other drunk dudes and things went south, accident happened. Small town Kansas stuff...prob covered it up then dropped the body after the searches. Damn his friend for leaving him there.

The last one just makes my blood boil that the woman is walking free...on her 4th marriage. Shocking nobody would talk with all the parties involved.

Overall, love the show....except for the UFO nonsense.

Maybe he was in a secret scandalous Aaron Hernandez-ish relationship with the friend who he moved across the country for and couldn't face his wife or Puerto Rican family?

This wouldn’t surprise me... dudes played water polo together... then gives him a job across the country... that’s either an extremely tight college buddy bond or something else.

Just watched the episode with the kid who got killed at a party in Kansas. I feel like this one has the highest likelihood of being solved, because in small towns people will talk. Some loudmouth will spill the beans. Amazing that the killer(s) got so lucky with their method of storing/preserving the body in that it basically left no clues about cause of death.

Just finished Episode 1 - Spoilers

A lot of the episode has been recapped here and while I think it is odd Rey's buddy Porter lawyered up it is possible he had nothing to do with Rey's death and was instead lawyering up to hide something else. He was involved in legal action with the SEC after all.

I don't think Rey was a "normal" guy. There are a couple clues that there was something not right with him or with something he was into. Normal people don't fill up pads full of papers with random incoherent writings. "Oh, that was just Rey!" Is not flying with me.

Second is the note taped to the back of the computer. He had done it they day based on how it was torn from other papers, but it wasn't done in a hurry. He left in a hurry that day but he had time to create and plant the weird note.

Finally, the phrases in the note referred to Freemason stuff and it was cryptic. Either the guy was going off his rocker and nobody noticed, or choose not to accept it, or he was involved with something that got him killed.

Agreed. I guess the book goes into a lot more detail about his erratic behavior and the case for suicide. It is totally plausible he jumped...jumping off at 11mph would have been enough to carry him out to where the hole ended up being.

The guy in episode 1 was certainly not completely normal based on a lot of the details. Why did they not get a physicist involved to detail the jump/hole? Something like that can easily be proved or disproved. Should also be Incredibly easy to determine if a flying body created that hole or not or if it was man made.

1st episode was interesting. How did he fall 40 feet from the edge of the building? Why did his phone and glasses not have a scratch.? No one saw him in the hotel. It seems if they did, someone would talk. Very odd.

That baw was tossed out of a low flyingg helicopter then somebody went and threw his stuff off the garage to make it look like suicide.

Yep, I believe a running start (even in flip flops) could've carried him to that spot being how high he was. He was probably aiming for the windows (like the movie) and overshot. Also, people aren't talking about the surface of that roof when mentioning that the glasses and phone were unharmed; the material used almost feels like padding of sorts (it's soft and gives). That could definitely account for how a well made pair of glasses and that brick of a phone weren't busted to pieces on impact.

Didn't the medical examiner say the broken shins weren't consistent with a fall from a high place?

I didn't find that odd at all. If I was involved in a murder investigation I'd lawyer up whether ot not I was guilty.
