To enjoy shows like the above you just have to suspend logic and reasoning for the half hour they ran.
considering I was a child when I watched them, this was relatively easy to do. The great thing about being a kid, right?
Gilligan's Island, Hogan's Heroes, and F Troop were absolute gems for six year old me.

I can certainly relate to that as a child. I watched every short made by "The Three Stooges", every movie by Abbott & Costello and Laurel & Hardy and laughed my fool head off.
Then when getting older I realized they all did basically the same schtick over and over again in every episode, movie, short they made and that kind of took the fun out of it.

A hut. It was a hut.

It’s a comedy show that was well written. If they escaped the island shows over. It’s been a while but I loved that show and saw all the reruns when I was a kid.

The tour was only 3 hours. At most, that's 1 1/2 hours out, then back again.
Originally it was a 6 hour tour, listen to the song

Well, seeing how they changed the theme song and apparently the location (Caribbean to Hawaii ) , I'll stick with what made it to air during the original series.
The mate was a mighty sailing man,
The skipper brave and sure.
Five passengers set sail that day
For a three hour tour, a three hour tour.
Gilligans Island lyrics

I dunno. I may have been distracted by Dawn Wells’s jean shorts…

An early 1960s TV sitcom contained elements that were completely nonsensical?
Say it ain’t so!!
Say it ain’t so!!

If GI was real life, Gilligan would have been murdered within 3 weeks.

the length of the tour wasn’t the point, somewhere along between hours 1 and 2 they encountered a major squall which threw them way off course, and i presume damaged their methods of navigation - in fact, I always assumed that the Skipper was knocked unconscious and the storm carried them deep into the Pacific
but my favorite anecdote was from the time me and two stoner friends watched the original Rescue From Gilligan’s Island when it premiered on TV
as they were lashing the huts together in advance of the tsunami, the Professor made a point of saying the ropes were made of hemp
so when Gilligan accidentally set fire to their flotilla, attracting the attention of the Navy helicopter, one of my buddies wisecracked, “they’re not gonna get rescued, they’re gonna get BUSTED!”

The actor who played Giligan makes fun of this in the 80's movie Back To The Beach.

I watched every short made by "The Three Stooges",
The Stooges were sort of ruined for me when I watched a YouTube video of clips with the “doink!” sound effects removed. Totally lame without the sounds. Don’t ever watch one of those videos.

Seconded. Everything about the show was perfect.

Everything this guy said.
PROFESSOR [to himself]: Ok, so I'm shipwrecked... on a deserted island... just me and an old married couple, a complete idiot, an even completer idiot, and two ridiculously hot girls. Professor, old boy, you've hit the jackpot!
SKIPPER: Say, aren't you some kind of scientific genius or something? Surely if you can do science stuff you can fix a hole in a boat!
PROFESSOR: Uh, sorry, friend, I'm really more of a... um... you know... theoretical scientist. When it comes to applied science you could say that I'm really out to sea. Get it? Get it??? Ah, forget it. Say, either of you girls want to watch me build a nuclear reactor out of coconuts?
