Anonymous Disney animators say the making of "Wish" was a disaster

Current and previous members of the Disney Animation division reached out to Chris Gore and Alan Ng of Film Threat under the condition of anonymity to discuss what a clusterfrick the making of "Wish" was.
You can watch the full 20-minute video here: LINK
Some of the quotes I pulled in case you need a TL;DR version:
"The original intention of Wish was to be a tribute to the 100-year tradition of Disney animation history. It was intended to be the origin story of the song When You Wish Upon A Star to tie in to Disney's past. None of that is what the film ended up being."
"The corporate culture at Disney has taken a bad turn, to the point where people were being hired due to their skin color and gender instead of experience and talents. People were put in the forefront because they weren't white or male."
"Old veterans left and went to different companies. People you used to associate with the Disney Renaissance are no longer with the company."
"The story of Wish evolved from the origin of When You Wish Upon A Star to a story about overthrowing the king of a kingdom."
"The word 'activists' was a key word in nearly every email we received. Activists are using their positions to get rid of the veterans who have the experience of quality animation."

Many here STILL won't hear it. Chris Gore of Film Threat's been in the industry for years, so if your concern is that you don't like rumors from typical YT guys, this should solve that issue.
if he says he's gotten a bunch of e-mails stating these things, he has. The fact that they're telling him EXACTLY what many of us have been saying is just icing on the cake.
Disney is filled with activists first, whose goal is pushing their politics before entertainment. It doesn't matter how many of these things fail, they'll never see it as "failure" because they aren't judging these things by that criteria. Hell, after The Marvels tanked, you had people in Access Media circles running around talking about how the REAL story wasn't that it was the wort opening of an MCU movie ever, but that it was the largest opening ever for a black woman director.

Disney abandoned aptitude and talent to entertain the audience a long while back.
It blatantly comes across that they don't even care about profit or their shareholders anymore, such is the obsession with la revolucion.

That's what I initially thought it was about when I saw the first teaser (IIRC). Which in all honesty would have been a great idea for an animated movie and would have given Disney some nostalgia boost that it desperately needs these days.
But I do think this is pretty hilarious and I'm sure some people will come in here and claim that others are idiots for accusing Disney of "wokeness" and explain it away how this has nothing to do with that. But at least we can all point and laugh at them together.

They continue to ostracize a large portion of their customer base with these actions plus the massive price hikes
I know several people that have dumped their subs

Disney is like the Texas A&M of entertainment, outspend just to underperform.
Also, they're a cult.
Also, they're a cult.

Disney has been TELLING everyone they're doing it, and people pretend they don't see it.
They have literal quotas they have to meet.

This pretty much sums up what is going on in every avenue where liberal progressives are in control which is most forms of communication.
Control is the key word. They need control in order to transform the world into their world view.
They control:
Our government
The movie industry
The TV industry
The news cycle
Most newspapers
Most social media outlets
Most colleges and universities
Most tech companies
And they can do all of this because they control most of the world's assets.
So companies like Disney and CNN don't give a damn if their outputs aren't popular because they are propped up by vast resources. They see is as an investment in world transformation into what they believe it should be.

I laughed when I saw the commercial and the main character was a black female with long braids. I said "of course".

It's why I laugh every time someone on here (or elsewhere) complains about people bringing THEIR politics to the movie theater!
Hardy-frickin'-har.
Most people always did this, until it became impossible to do so without a fricking lobotomy. The politics of the creatives are being force fed down everyone's throats, utilizing the IP of our childhoods as Trojan Horses. and when we dare notice it and complain, we're the problem. Our job, as they see it, is to just shut up, pay for the next product, and then shut up and pay for the next one. When we don't, they sure do get salty.
It's fun watching them burn it all down though...I'll say that for sure.

Clearly written by a bitter, entitled, privileged cis-white male. Ugh!
