The forgery was from some dealer that recently died. The bug is in the codex from Luthen’s shop, but I was under the impression he was sending everything to an independent third party to verify their authenticity. Asking the dealer if it’s real wouldn’t get you very far since they would never admit it was fake.

Regardless of whether anything was fake or not, the bug would be found.

With how meticulous Luthen is I would be shocked if anything in or from that shop was fake.

Davo bought from other dealers. Luthen's stuff was the real deal but Davo was going to have EVERYTHING looked at.

I see now you said Bill in your original post. Yes I agree with one of his sons but I would suggest Alexander as he could pull off the same snobbish behavior of face Luthen

I feel like Luthen's backstory is pretty typical. A lover or child or both killed by the Empire, which is why he's easily able to give up ever being happy again.

Episode 9 is the longest episode of the season at 58 minutes. Might break 50 before the end credits roll. Dan Gilroy wrote tonight’s three. He wrote the Aldhani heist arc in season one.
