Leo Woodall would be a good choice. He's the young British dude from White Lotus season 2.

I feel like The Gentlemen (the show) has been his audition for it too. He became my post-Cavill preference after watching him in PBS's Sanditon. He'd be amazing as Bond. I'm sad he doesn't get as much love for the role, he has the chops.

Tom Holland would be an L of biblical proportions. The guy is 5'5" at best.

Elordi and Dickinson I can see.

Tend to agree on Holland. He's also too "teenagery" for me. He's a cute guy, but IMO you have to be able to pull off an attractiveness that's as much about the way you carry yourself as your physical appearance.

I haven't seen Elordi act enough to know whether he could carry a lead in a franchise like that. He has the look.

I feel like you have to have gravitas and I don't think Dickson has "it".

Yeah, we had a thread a while back and remember you saying that. Good choice.

I mentioned this guy:

Also, obligatory just cast Cavill dammit

How is anyone NOT named Henry Cavill even being considered for the role? Seriously? How?

I think they're looking for actors.

How Tom Holland is even remotely considered is beyond me. He plays a good Spider-Man because he looks like a kid. He is almost as bad of a pick for Bond as Idris Elba would be.

And before the dipshit casuals bring it up, James Bond is not a fricking code name for the 1000th time. It was explained in Skyfall it’s his real name because he has no friends or family for his enemies to go after.

Are you suggesting....Henry Cavill can't act?

I know Lazenby was Australian, but can't see Villeneuve going that route with Elordi. And Bond will definitely not be an American. Speaking of which, I had no idea Robert Pattinson was English! I think he's a great actor, but have a hard time seeing him as Bond. I'd prefer someone not so well known, like Dickinson.

That James Bond died. If we're going to disregard his death and bring him back, they can certainly ignore some random backstory mentioned in Skyfall.

Since The Gentlemen on Netflix. Aaron Taylor-Johnson I think would be decent. Tom Holland, absolutely a no for Bond. The other two I don't know and by looking at them, also no. Henry Cavill would be awesome but we all know that's not happening. Oh well, I hope Highlander is cool.

And coincidentally this code-named Bond will also be into Aston Martins, hot women, shaken martinis, and introduce himself in the exact same way.

Brosnan's Bond was into BMWs. The studio gets to pick what's important, that's how it works.

What Jay Arse is saying is that because Cavill has stated his support for honoring properties' original storylines and intent, and opposition to insertion of The Message and other deconstructive notions, Henry Cavill is unacceptable.
