1998 Atlanta Braves

Greg Maddux (18-9, 2.22 ERA)*
Tom Glavine (20-6, 2.47 ERA)*
Denny Neagle (16-11, 3.55 ERA)
Kevin Millwood (17-8, 4.08 ERA)
John Smoltz (17-3, 2.90 ERA)

That's an absolutely insane rotation.

They probably aren't one of the all-time best, but the 2011 Phillies had an amazing rotation

Roy Halladay (19-6, 2.35 ERA)*
Cliff Lee (17-8, 2.40 ERA)*
Cole Hamels (14-9, 2.79 ERA)*
Roy Oswalt (9-10, 3.69 ERA)
Vance Worley (11-3, 3.01 ERA)

I think the Orioles may have had the best one-year staff ever.

Jim Palmer: 20-9, 2.68 ERA
Dave McNally: 21-5, 2.89 ERA
Mike Cuellar: 20-9, 3.08 ERA
Pat Dobson: 20-8, 2.90 ERA

Yet, Vida Blue, I think, won the MVP and Cy that year.

The A's of the 70's and 00's could throw a pretty good staff

Blue
Zito
Mulder
Catfish
Add Stewart in from the 80's or Welch

I am not taking anything away from these guys. They were amazing...but i think they would struggle in todays game with the ABS system

1971 Baltimore Orioles had all 4 starting pitchers win a minimum of 20 games:
Jim Palmer: 20 -9
Mike Cuellar: 20-9
Dave McNally: 21-5
Pat Dobson: 20-8

If we're doing a single year, the 1971 Orioles are tough to beat. They have 4 20 game winners: Palmer, McNally, Cuellar and Dobson

ETA: guess I should have checked before I hit "Submit"

It’s “‘who’ has the greatest rotation.” Not “whom.”

Depending on criteria of how many seasons, Mets could roll out a pretty good rotation:

Seaver
Ryan
Gooden
Glavine
Pedro

I was going to post this if nobody else did. McNally was 15-0 at one point during that season.

Maybe not the greatest but Cardinals have some good names

Bob Gibson
Cy Young
Dizzy Dean
Steve Carlton
Adam Wainwright
Bob Tewkesbury
John Tudor

Tudor was a favorite of mine growing up and finished his STL career with over a 70% winning percentage and an ERA of around 2.4. A largely forgotten player

I liked Tewks a lot for being similar. Beating players with finesse instead of raw heat.

I think the all time list might be the Red Sox but love the all time Dodgers (Koufax, Fernando, Hershiser, Ohtani) and Mets (Seaver obviously but people forgot about Cone with Gooden in the 80s) too.
