TMac easily the worst of the 4. Other 3 are top 5 all time at their respective positions

Should settle the Kobe carrying Shaq argument

Truth

And Kobe's longevity is what makes him so much better than TMac. And some how you picked Shaq and TMac. Weird.

I don't know which way I'm leaning, but

Duncan is a better replacement for Shaq, than T-Mac is for Kobe.

T-Mac in his eight year peak(00-08) is very much on par with
Kobe Bryant.

T-Mac wouldn't need to be the alpha dog, Shaq would be.

Prime Shaq and T-Mac could definitely three peat and probably more.

For the Rockets fans, T-Mac gave the rest of his prime to you while the front office gave a mediocre supporting cast to work with for most his time in Houston, sans Yao.

Kobe - Duncan or Shaq-Iverson?

T-Mac in his prime was a superior player to Allen Iverson.

I glanced over the question. I thought he asked which duo would be better. I didn't realize the question was which duo would win more titles.

T-Mac at his peak was a beast. He was playing with scrubs like Drew Gooden, Gordon Giricek, and fat Shawn Kemp.

Ehhh No. Duncan wins on longevity only. Shaq was much better at his peak.

Just a quick look at PER.

Duncans 2 highest seasons.

27.1
27.0

Shaq
30.6
30.6

Shaq had 8 seasons better than Duncan's best. Including 7 in a row.

yea dude cause shooting 25x per game at 41% is conducive to winning

When you're the only offensive player on your team you're going to shoot more and take lower percentage shots. What were Kobe's stats circa 2008ish? I'm on my way to bed and too lazy to look.

I think Shaq and TMac would have had good synergy. Very Shaq and Penny-esque. I'd be inclined to say their peak would be very high. But Kobe and Timmy would be really good for a long time. They probably get the nod here.

T-Mac and Kobe were considered equals during their primes. It was a lot like Chris Paul and Deron Williams, where injuries have made people forget that the two used to be heavily compared.

Who are the role players, bench. That would go along ways in helping me determine which duo would win more.

Was there a decent PF that could get defenders out of the paint and guarding the perimeter. Was there a good PG/SG to compliment both players.

TMAC had a PER in 02-03 of 30.27. Kobe was never over 28.

Shooting 41% taking when a 3rd of your shots are 3s is a lot different than shooting 41% on a minimal amount of 3PA.
