Marvin Constant was a really promising linebacker at Alabama. He fricked his hip up making a goal line tackle on one of the Booty kids that played QB at LSU. Saved the game, but ended his career.

Bo Jackson, Greg Oden and Derrick Rose immediately came to mind when reading the thread title. I’m sure they all have been been mentioned.

Stephen Strasburg. Ge's having a very good career but he could of been the GOAT.

Crazy to think that you might be able to apply this logic to Frank Gore who has over 15K career rushing yards

ETA guess you could say the same logic applies to Adrian Peterson

Incredible the careers they've had at such a physical position with the injuries they've had

Chris Bosh
Danny Granger

Not the most potential, but Isaiah Austin had a good skillset for where the NBA was heading for big men.

There was a kid at UGA when my fellow Dawgs see his name will feel exactly the same way.

Albert Hollis. Stud RB out of California that blew out both knees and was never the same guy to the point where he barely played. So much potential.

Carson Palmer!
LSU fans be aware that he was drafted number 1 to Cincinnati and now Joe Burrow have been drafted #1 to Cincinnati. Will it repeat with Burrow?

Greg Oden....man what could have been? Some of these players mentioned still made All Star Games and still had somewhat of a career...Oden never even got started. Dam shame....

He and Jerry Rice would have been 1a and 1b of all time WRs if he wouldn’t have gotten hurt.

His final season was the only season he played with prime era Favre.

This is the best answer. His highlight tape is every bit as good as Barry Sanders.

Shaun Livingston.

6'7" PG could have really been something but that injury completely derailed his career.
