Yeah, for following a team around like a Grateful Dead fan, those are good places to visit, especially if the game is before Halloween.
But in terms of cities to live in that have NFL teams, they would be at the bottom of my list.

Kansas City
Tyga, I agree with you more than not, but no chance. KC isn't even in the top 7 or 8 of this list - it certainly lives up to its reputation as one of America's more underrated tourist destinations.
Charlotte, as mentioned. The Jacksonville area has some cool things going on but way too spread out and not really accessible. Arizona Cardinals outside of a few times a year (which aren't football season) - PHX / Scottsdale is rather bland after a few days. Tampa. Cincinnati. Detroit. Cleveland. Indianapolis.
Minneapolis really ain't that great in my opinion, and frankly I hate Vegas outside of 48 hour stints. I've never been to Green Bay proper but I have been to northern Wisconsin a decent bit, and there is no chance it is more interesting than KC.
As far as interesting cities go, Boston, Baltimore, Philadelphia, DC, New York, New Orleans, Chicago, Miami, San Francisco, and LA are clearly in a tier or five above KC.
Denver, Seattle, Dallas, Houston, and Atlanta are almost also certainly more interesting but all those places have a certain blandness that's masked by hyper-charged recent growth.
Green Bay is kind of its own beast as it's much, much smaller than all other NFL markets, but it pulls all of Wisconsin as a direct market and a good chunk of the rest of the Upper Midwest, so not really comparable. Buffalo is kind of similar as well + Buffalo direct market pulls in a decent chunk of Great Lakes Canada.

The answer is San Jose ca
This San Jose native must remind your dumb arse that stadium isnt in San Jose. At all.
If it were in San Jose, it would be low on the list of cities but higher than Buffalo and Green Bay for sure.
And if we're going "literally where the stadium is", then I'm sure Glendale, AZ, Landover, MD, Arlington, Texas would all be in the running.

Green Bay feels like an easy answer, but it was so different from the day to day I was used, I really liked the trip.
Jacksonville is the biggest city in Florida but Tampa, Orlando, Miami are all better.

if we’re talking about just the city and things to do before the game.. not the gameday atmosphere, Jacksonville for sure. If gameday is included, no way Buffalo or GB should be on anyone’s list. If gameday isn’t included definitely add those cities along with Charlotte and Baltimore
Lots to do in Jacksonville and surrounding area all the way through the superbowl. Amelia Island, St.Augustine, Beaches, and it's only getting better with the team getting better and the buzz of the new stadium. Now do Buffalo and green bay from November all the way through May. Remember the jags have had like 3 winning seasons in the last 18 years but times are a changing and give me great weather 10 months out of the year.

Atlanta is the only answer.

Jacksonville is the correct response
I remember every sportswriter shitting on the city when it hosted the Super Bowl.
quote:
Tony Kornheiser of The Washington Post got in some early and enthusiastic jabs: What in the wide world of sports was this smelly backwater doing hosting the Super Bowl? He pondered: "What, Tuscaloosa was booked?"
ESPN's Sal Paolantonio was among the many who got in on the fun: "Really, really, really nice people in a really, really, really crappy place," he pronounced. You know the drill: A boring, cold Hooterville filled with doublewides, gun racks, Hooters and Waffle Houses.

Houston’s gotta be up there.

Largest city in the lower 48 and you mention leaving it, almost instantly

Buffalo is one of the best. Visit before posting

Good place to live but I wouldn't want to visit there.

Las Vegas. Casino environments do nothing for me.

I don't get all of the Jacksonville hate in this thread. It's got lots of stuff to do, but then again, I'm a history buff.
It sure beats the frozen concrete jungles of the NE.

Green Bay
There is nothing going on outside of the Packers there and brutally cold/long winters
Buffalo at least Niagara Falls is nearby?
Anyone saying Jacksonville is just wrong, yes the downtown is complete shite but metro area is decent + beaches

Which one and the surrounding area would think would be the least interesting?
Strictly limiting this to the city and it’s amenities (and nothing to do with the tailgating, stadium and game day experience), it’s got to be Green Bay. Buffalo, while not great, actually has some interesting things, bars and restaurants outside of a Bills / Sabres game. I mean, you’re a 15 minute drive to Niagara Falls.

Charlotte is a bland, garbage, new money hell hole
Yeah, but it isn’t Green Bay, Buffalo, Cleveland…
I agree, though. Charlotte is so cookie cutter, manicured, and “new”….very little character excluding the NoDa neighborhood. That said, there’s a helluva lot worse places.

The only true answer here is Green Bay. We went for New Years a few years ago and outside of the Packers there’s really nothing to do. It’s also so damn cold there that nobody wants to willingly be outside.
