Do the Astros still have a farm team called the Kissimmee Astros?? That was the best ever.

"Rebels" would be neat & unique for a pro team. I can't think of anyone else besides Ole Miss with Rebels.

Patriots and 49ers both due to having ties with the history of their area. And Packers due to the origin of the team as a company-owned team (Acme Packing).

Dumb question, did the Ravens get their nickname from Edgar Allen Poe's famous story?

Yes. Poe was from Baltimore.

They have three mascots: Edgar, Allen, and Poe.

I like when a city has it coordinated accross all sports with a reginonal relevance.

i.e. Houston:
Oilers, Rockets, Astros, Comets, Aeros

Special appreciation to the Calgary Flames (formerly Atlanta) for their historical relevance.

My favorite by far. Screw the Carolina Hurricanes.

I still think "the dodgers" is a great professional sport name. Especially when they were in Brooklyn
