Just like Tom Osborne saw the writing on the wall after continuously getting spanked by Texas, Saban saw it as well and didn't want to go out like an Osborne beyatch.

I’m retiring in a year and a half. I’m not broken. Thread is nonsense.

People retire all the time without being “broken.”

So... your contention is that LSU broke Saban leading to his retirement?

This is stupid. He's 72, has done everything he could ever dream of doing, wants to see what is next, and honestly might have just completed his best coaching season ever.

Nothing broke him. He went out on top.

It was probably walking around all day every day for the last 25 years with that enormous stick in his arse.

Dude got tired of rehabbing coaches lol. No...he's 72 and is one of, if not the best CFB coaches in history. No reason to be a Paterno or Bowden and coach until you can't walk.

100% NIL coupled with transfer portal and anyone saying oh it was just time, he’s done it all, etc is either FOS or clueless. It’s a different game now and his pitch no longer works

Lol nobody made anyone leave the hood/gang banging and become a college football player.

Always the victim, never the victor. Saban ran a tight ship. Those indentured servants learned more in 4 years at Bama than they did in the first 18 years of their life.

LOL. Nothing broke Saban. He was given more chances than any other coach in CFB to win titles annually.

I'm honestly shocked he could only go undefeated once in his career. With the 12 team playoff coming, he would be guaranteed a spot in the post season as long as Bama could lose 3 games or less a season.

After getting another gift this season, I would have stayed until I was shitting my pants on the sidelines just to see how many more chances I could have handed to me.

2023 Beat the best team in the SECCG and losses to #1 in OT and #3 (who they were better than by year end)

and we can go ona nd on. ALAbama should not have been in 2012 BCS title game being they had their shot at home and lost to LSU. they shoulda put okie state in after they beat OU. other times they should not have gotten in playoffs. so we can scratch a few of those nattys off as being jokes. bama was given every advantage imaginable.
