She's absolutely earned it! She does a fantastic job and this was earned on her merits and work on the field. I hope we can use her in training videos for new officials.

Congrats, Sarah.

Isn't this the same bitch that gave Washington the ball back after they fumbled and Cleveland clearly recovered it? I'm almost positive. Just looked it up. Yep its her lol

That's damn funny and I've never even been married.

You know what would be cool? If they just did this shite and didn’t make such a production of it

IF she is the same down judge from the Saints game she did a good job with the spots

If it is the same one, no she didn’t. She was lost on several plays. More than several really. You could see her looking to other officials quite often to see what they were doing/calling/spotting.

That’s not commentary on her ability or her as a person. Just the truth from that game.

I’d imagine she feels immense pressure, and was likely rushed into the league and isnt quite ready.

But realistically, she can’t do any worse than some of the poor officiating that’s plagued the NFL for a decade.

Assuming she earned it with her work on the field, then congrats to her.

The NFL should release the grading data. If she is truly the best, it is highly impressive. I’m not sure many refs have got a Super Bowl call the second time they are eligible.

I would like to see how the NFL grades and then see someone chart all the games

She looked timid as hell a couple of times during the Saints/Bucs game.

I noticed as well.

Good for her. Officiating isn't something that is based off of athleticism, so there's no reason women can't be referees.

This was bound to happen eventually.

No problem with it or the article. This is something that can be applauded, a women breaking through into a male dominated field. Like OP said, this is nothing like the publicity stunt at Vandy.

So, there isn't a man that's better? She paid her dues?
It's 100% publicity. And you dopes are falling for it.

Even Saints fans weren't whining about the officials so the crew had to be good.

It's definitely based on being in shape, that's for sure. The majority of fatasses on this board wouldn't be able to stay up on the play.

If she spots the ball accurately, we have no place for her in the SEC.

Correct.

And you know she's good at her job because you never hear about her other than being a woman. You don't typically notice refs unless they suck.

I just looked it up she was the down judge the Saints/Bucs game. I though she had a good game.

She got the offsides correct each time. She also correctly blew the play dead when the Saints jumped offsides causing the Bucs tackle to move. Brady was mad because it negated a first down completion to Mike Evans.

I don't recall any issue with her spots, none were overturned.

She also realized the Saints were in an illegal formation on their touchdown pass. The flag was picked up because Shawn Hochuli forgot to announce #74 was reporting as eligible.
