@ 18 teams, it’s pretty stupid to continue calling it the “Big 10”
Is it that much different than saying Missouri, Arkansas, Texas and Texas A&M are in the Southeastern Conference?

The BIG presidents were also against adding them at the time. Things can change rapidly when shite hits the fan and a different deal in on the table.
Definitely not what USC wanted.

Not understanding what their problem is. They ate getting double what both those schools are getting. Which means they will have more resources to compete and pay for recruits.
Of course if they're that unhappy they're more than happy to leave and join the land of misfit toys in the MWC. Then they really will be THE destination.
New commissioners, new year, new opportunities.

You're assuming the ACC survives if the SEC decides to start plucking schools like Florida State and Clemson from that conference.
ESPN isn't going to pay the SEC to add ACC teams when ESPN is already getting ACC teams on their network for cheap.

I would think ucla would be more upset than SC. We'll still get top recruits. Ucla could've been in a much stronger position in recruiting

“Flounder! You fricked up! You trusted us!”
“My advice to you is to start drinking heavily.”
“You should listen to him… he’s pre-med!”

Exactly. The West Coast is pretty massive.
Oregon will provide a little competition but not enough to cap USC's ceiling.

Considering schools like Michigan recruit nationally anyway, it isn’t like they won’t have B10 schools in their backyard to pick off key prospects without those two there.

They will if they fear Clemson and FSU going to the Big 10.

Can I just say what an absolute phenomenal job Brett yormark has done as big 12 commissioner. Everyone thought the big 12 was dead in the water when they lost Texas and OU and believed he was just giving lip service when he said he would make sure the big 12 isn’t going anywhere. Fast forward 24 months and this dude has now turned the big 2 race between the big 10 and the sec to the big 3.

Now that USC, UCLA, Oregon & Washington are headed to the Big Ten think about this:
ESPN will not be involved going forward w/4 biggest brands on the West Coast = ESPN won't cover them so no more national exposure or rank them as high as they used to be ranked when they did have an incentive to cover them.

I wouldn’t go that far, but without question the Big 12 has set itself up best among the rest
