Is this where we pretend academics plays a role in this? I’m struggling to believe that when arguably the best school in the world in Stanford seems to be getting zero interest.

Hahaha...

I'm going off of what the B10 has said when it comes to what THEY are looking for regarding expansion.

I couldn't give two-fricks about academic standing in the B10.

Washington and Oregon would suck for minor sports but would keep the B-12 relevant in CFB.

B1G is done for the next few years.

The B1G is only done if the GOR doesn't have any chinks in its armor.

And if the Big 12 doesn't try to create a similar GOR scheme.

This is the worst take in the thread

LA to Rutgers university is 2400 miles and to Columbus is 2200.

Tallahassee to Columbus is only 835 miles and to Rutgers is less than 1100.

So every time USC and UCLA are traveling, they are going over double the distance of what FSU would be in these hypotheticals

You may not have much common sense. Those 2 teams were already moving and everyone in America knows their travel will be nightmare starting in 24. The discussion was not centered in them rather if they add the 2 very southern teams.

In that respect the travel for FSU/Clemson would be horrible compared to current ACC. Not only would they have to travel to north amd midwest but to west coast too. That is just not smart for the conference long term.

It hurts all their sports not just football (FSU/Clemson).

The cost to operate sports in the B10 would be super high compared to other conferences. It would hurt recruiting with families not able to travel as much.

The B10 only hope is to add more western teams to then have enough to create a western division. Then you play all div and maybe do a 3 game in other one where you have 2 away/1 home or 2H/1A setup. Thats not possible adding in FSU/Clemson.

National top 40 in academics and New Orleans as a travel destination. Good call.

They will just continue to cherry pick the PAC. Let's them create a western division.

Focus is on possibly adding Oregon and Washington to move to 18 members or Cal and Stanford to reach 20.

No one’s gonna do a grant of rights after what’s happened with the ACC. Top teams simply won’t go for it

So Big 10 takes Oregon/Washington/Stanford/Call.

Big 12 takes the Arizona Schools/Utah/Oregon state.

SEC takes FSU/Clemson/UNC/Miami as soon as the GOR is gotten out of.

It’s all kind of stupid. The 3 remaining conferences are going to be so big that they’ll have to do internal divisions that basically replicate the original conferences.
