Also, rumor is that the Pac-12 media deal is $20M per year and streaming only

That's pathetic

Scoop City has received a serious rumor that the Big Ten will add Washington, Oregon, FSU, and Clemson this week.

And Scoop City believes race fans were chanting “Lets Go Brandon” right?

Imagine the travel for FSU/Clemson lol. There is no way in hell they got B10. What would be FSU closest football game not counting Clemson? And other sports?

I can see adding as many western teams to make east/west divisions and limit travel.

I'm disappointed that FSU fans seem to prefer the B1G over the SEC.

Getting out of their ACC deals will take some serious finagling and it wont come out of nowhere

It's amazing people on this board continue to think any school is leaving the ACC anytime soon.

Jokes on them as they are stuck in the ACC.

The Florida State thing is fascinating.

It's easy to say "It's too expensive to get out of the ACC." And it would be VERY expensive.

But being $30 million-$40 million per year behind the schools you recruit against for 13 years is also incredibly expensive in its own way.

If you're keeping track of regents/trustees meetings, here are the ones currently scheduled this week (and when they were scheduled):

Tuesday: Arizona (scheduled Monday)

Wednesday: Florida State (scheduled last Thursday)

Is this where we pretend academics plays a role in this? I’m struggling to believe that when arguably the best school in the world in Stanford seems to be getting zero interest.

I don’t think anyone expects them to stay the full 13 years though.

The question I’ve always asked is why would the B1G risk having that GOR battle when they already have the best TV deal. Would Florida State increase the per school payout for the B1G? I’m skeptical of that.

I don’t see the SEC taking any ACC team without the B1G moving first because that’d result in a loss for cost-cutting ESPN.

Maryland, which is a former ACC team roughly 5 states away.

It is not exactly easy from a travel perspective but it beats being left out in the cold if the Big Ten and the SEC both pass on them, the latter of which is distinctly possible given the bloc voting by Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina to keep their in state rivals out of the conference.

If the Big Ten wanted OR and WA they would be in by now. I can see FSU since they are a big school in Florida and Clemson is a long shot.

This needs to stop. In the end this will just stratify the top with the same 15 teams competing for the top players and the rest assigned to have not status in perpetuity with upper level teams forming a super league but enticing the lowers to join them or lose any television revenue.

Clemson and FSU would be massive. SEC would have to respond with two big schools as well.

This is the worst take in the thread

LA to Rutgers university is 2400 miles and to Columbus is 2200.

Tallahassee to Columbus is only 835 miles and to Rutgers is less than 1100.

So every time USC and UCLA are traveling, they are going over double the distance of what FSU would be in these hypotheticals

They've been afraid of the SEC since Bowden crapped his pants and refused an invitation in 1992.

If the GOR wasn't a thing, the B1G would certainly have expanded south by now.
