So people should not have to follow rules they think are dumb? I agree it shouldn't be a rule, but she knew the rules and she broke one.

True, but I think its clear she's not a "cheater" like some here have said (not saying you did). She's at worst just a bad decision maker--not an uncommon trait for someone in her age group.

Yeah any performance enhancing weed has in any sport would be minimal but it's only prohibited in competition so she could have lit up during the offseason with no problems even if she got tested.

Her interview after she won the trials was so funny. The reporter had a look on his face that he didn't understand a word coming out of her mouth.

It’s a dumb rule but if you’ve been training for something for years that you only get one shot at you’re a huge fricking idiot for not following it.

It’s crazy because she is coached by one of the dirtiest coaches in track who is the coach of one of the direst runners of all time.
I always assumed she was dirty but to pass a test for PEDs and fail for weed makes me think more of her

Look, obviously she shouldn’t have smoked weed. I’m not saying that was a good decision by her.
But it wouldn’t matter if they didn’t test for it in the first place.
The Olympics has always been dumb about weed (see: Phelps, Michael)
