Sounds like Derrick Rose may be Milwaukee bound. Scheduling a second meeting with the Bucks

I'm so freaking sick of this Melo shite. Wake me up when he's in Houston.

Carmelo will be where he wants to be. If he wants to be in Houston, he'll be in Houston.

The Knicks are hiring a new GM, and they may want to talk it all over with him. But the bottom line is Carmelo will be where he wants to be.

All reports are that he expected to be in Houston. After dreaming about being on an elite team, he won't be happy staying in NY under any scenario. Just gotta wait.

Maybe new GM Scott Perry looked at the trade offer and said are you people stupid? And wants to rework it

Or maybe the Knicks are dumb and thinks they can make a Playoff run with Melo

There is no freaking way Melo is ever playing another game for the New York Knicks. And that is a fact.

Oh he'll suit up if he wants to get paid. I can't believe the new GM thinks he's got this crazy trade value. He has a no trade clause moron!

Exactly what I was thinking is happening. New GM trying to keep Melo. Hell it may work. Phil is gone, triangle is dead, new regime. Perry will try to convince him on that

Phil and the triangle have already been gone for weeks and he still wanted to be traded. I don't think Carmelo is interested in playing for a rebuilding team at this stage of his career.

Word is that they want him to expand the list of teams he's willing to be traded to. But he has no reason to do that. He's in the driver's seat to go where he wants to go. The Knicks want him to expand his list of teams so that they can get a better deal for themselves, but Carmelo is under no obligation to do that and why would he choose to go somewhere he doesn't want to go so that the team that's trading him can get better trade pieces? Makes no sense. Carmelo will be where he wants to be.

Haha. The same thing he did to Denver when he was trying to go to NYK. Why should they expect anything different.

They're not getting anything of long term value.
They don't want Anderson when they have Porzingod.

I'd just keep him if that was the case, he doesn't play he doesn't play. Better than taking on bad contracts with no youth or picks attached.

Well he also didn't have a no trade clause in Denver. He would be gone by now I'm sure if they hadn't given him that

He's going to be traded. They don't want the distraction of keeping a disgruntled player who doesn't want to be there.

And he has the no trade clause. So it's not like they can hold on to him for now with the hope he can raise his value or his value will increase as teams get more desperate. He decides where he wants to be traded.

So it makes no sense to hold on to him. Most likely it's just a temporary delay so that the new management can talk to him. Carmelo is going to say there is no chance he will expand his list of teams and he wants out. And they'll make the trade happen like they were working on before.

Great, he can decide that. But the team can decide if they want to take on bad contracts or not. They're not forced to take shite without some kind of long-term compensation or outlook.

I'm pretty sure he's going to be traded as well, but you make it out that knicks have no other option, they do. Whether they hold to their guns or not is their decision.

If I had to take on 30mil/yr of bad contracts for 3 years without a pick or a young player, why would I? I'd be better off buying him out.
