Miller says trap draw way too much

What's funny is the people on here complaining are the same ones who hit their drive into a hazard and drive 50 yards past where it went in to take their drop. The NBC coverage showed Tiger stopping where he thought he should drop, and his competitor telling him he thought it a few yards further up. Don't you think Casey W. would have wanted Tiger to come back to him a little bit, to fatten his own paycheck?

The obvious response to that is what's a provisional?
ETA: I hit a provisional if there is the slightest chance I won't find my ball, especially if the course is backed up.

No question he took another illegal drop. BUT if you can get you playing competitor to go along with you, more power to Tiger ...
The marshall gave Tiger the go-ahead. How did you not know this?

I don't know if it was a bad drop or not, but that smarmy douche who made the video made me want to punch my computer screen.

If Tiger and Sergio were playing together when the shot hit the water, where would Sergio have told him to drop?

Good question Jeff. I didn't watch the whole video but when I watched it live Rolfing said prior to tiger putting for bogey that he was standing directly behind the tee box when tiger hooked it into the drink. He said something to the effect that he would be able to tell if it was a bad drop and that he didn't feel bad about tiger's drop at all.

Marshall's have nothing to do with it.
Having been paired with Case in the past, I'll take him at his word

That would have been so awesome if they had played together. He would have told Tiger to hit back by the tee box.

Did you even see how awkward the shot was after the drop? He didn't gain any advantage even if it should have been further back. He ended up having to hit his third shot like a knee high fastball cause he was on the side of a hill

I knew as soon as his ball went in the hazard and as soon as he attempted to take a drop anywhere this kind of thing was going to happen....

I don't care where guys drop from or if they retee or not if you are just out there playing for funzies. but usually when I play I'm playing in a match of some sort whether individual or partner match and we play it by the rules of golf. you must take medicine like a man.
Guy I was playing with the other day hit his tee shot into a pile of pampas grass deep in. He actually found his ball in there but it was not a hazard. he had to take an unplayable lie and his nearest point of relief was either staying in the pampas or dropping on the cart path. he played a ball off the path and I respect him for it.

Do you not respect that Tiger got the opinion of his playing partner & caddie, the rules official, and that Mark Rolfing said it was a good drop? I do care where someone drops even if playing for fun, because if someone tells me they shot 75 but hit 3 balls ob, my first question is going to be if they hit their 3rd off the tee each time.

Im not sure what that has to do with this?
Tiger took his medicine.
Tiger took his medicine.

And he ripped the shite out of that ball. That was a hell of a shot.
