I've never seen a cart path wider than 2 club lengths

his original drop was not on the cart path...it was in the pampas off the cart path. his two club lengths put him right in the middle of the path

Funny, given our conversation earlier, I'd say you aren't too well versed either

he is semi right that I did mention point of nearest relief although it was really about the 2 club lengths...the point of nearest relief came in on his drop on the cart path but he seems to be a know it all lawyer type. I would love to take him on the course and drive it 100 yards past him on every hole

I understand. I misunderstood threeputt's earlier comment. I thought he was talking about taking cart path relief when he was talking about taking relief from the unplayable.

However, if your 2 club lengths puts you on the path, and it's towards the fairway side of the path, you can drop on the path (you'd have to drop twice then place because the ball is sure to roll outside of the 2 club lengths), then take relief from the path on the other side.

this is exactly what happened. he chose to place it on the cart path after two drops and hit from there since taking releif would put him back in the pampas anyway... like I said dude was screwed. he should have never hit driver off the tee on that hole

post some videos of your swing bro. we have already proven its impossible for someone not named Tiger or Bubba to hit it 330 yards. Impossible.

I might take some video next time out. I'm afraid I will mess up all of the progress you are making though. Will definitely cause you to start over swinging to keep up.
