I don't mind some pipped in music at an LSU game. I get hype when Boosie comes on and the players love it so it's whatever. But at a minor league baseball game?

I think the louder the better. I want every event to have the atmosphere of that Garbage Man's Classic PGA Event or whatever it's called. And I'm not just talking sporting events. I want a DJ at funerals, high school SAT exam rooms, hell...even doctor's offices. Who wouldn't want to hear "Hot In Here" while getting a colonoscopy?

A&M pipes in music and crowd noise and have the biggest speakers I've ever seen - overkill.

This happened with the Saints at the Dome. The crowd got even louder after the penalty

I hate that aspect also. The problem with minor league baseball is that their marketing departments are full of 23 year old interns trying to make a name for themselves, so they are pulling out all the stops.
They really live in the fear that if there is 2 seconds of dead time at any point, then everyone in the park will get up and leave. They cater to young ADD kids, not the adults who would be content if none of the extra bullshite went on

I gave you an upvote just because I recently experienced the same thing at a semi-pro baseball game. I was at an end of season little league party. I'm not there to cheer loud and get the fan experience of a big game like a Red Sox/Yankees playoff game or an LSU game. I just wanted my cheap beer, peanuts, and hot dog. Not have the speaker blare annoying music and awful mid-inning play-by-play bat races, while my kid slides down the grass hill with his little league teammates. Leave me alone with all that noise when I'm there against my will.

Went to a TCU vs Kansas a few years ago. My sister's grandson played for Kansas. The campus is right next to a huge train depot so their sound for great plays was fricking loud arse train horns blasting from one side of the stadium. Annoying as frick.

TBF, the UK Pep band has declined in quality. Drummer can never keep tempo, wrong notes are frequent. And the half-time feel of “On On U of K” is an abomination.

No, it’s objectively lame.
Jordan Hare is aurally dominated by the mega Jumbotron pumping house music in between every damn play. The student section even has their own DJ.
It’s dumb and completely tarnishes the pageantry of the college football experience.
I imagine it’s worse at professional venues.
