Yet they still cry about the Astros and harass their visiting fans. What a pathetic organization.

I'd say half of the teams in the SEC out draw the Oakland A's in baseball... per game.

Crazy

Many the top tiers nearly double.

The A's are still choosing between 2 Vegas sites.

One site is all theirs, the other site would be a partnership with already there resort.

Either way they still haven't chosen their location much less start work on the $1B proposed stadium. They'll be in Oakland at least 2 more years.

I went to a game there 4 years ago and the stadium felt like an old Soviet Union stadium and I kept waiting for their Olympic team to parade in...

The die hards deserve better. When I went, there was a VERY dedicated group of fans in the outfield bleachers.

The A’s have a good core group of fans. Oakland is a lot like NOLA (including the crime) if you put a competitive team out there people will show up.

They desperately need a new park the coliseum is reason enough not to go to a game.

Why are the Athletics so against building a new stadium right next to the current one?

I do think it would be fun to go to a game where you were basically the only person there.

Maybe N.O. looking for a Major league team to move there?

It’s in the middle of the Ghetto and think there is issue with property. The Howard terminal stadium on the water looks like it’s going forward.

That’s what their AA team averages per night.

They could probably renovate the Coliseum to the point where it's acceptable as a modern ballpark (remove outfield stands, remove or reduce upper deck, and modernize everything else); it wasn't that long ago where Kaufmann looked similar.

A's seemed determined to not do that, however

I been to Kaufman Stadium before the renovation. It couldn't have been as bad as the wasteland the Athletics are stuck in.

I went to many A's games in the early 80's. Those were the days of folks like Billy Martin and Rickey Henderson. Crowds were huge, loud and lots of fun. I'd love to see something happen where they can get back to that.

A new ballpark can do wonders. AAA games at old Cashman Field looked a lot like Zephyrs crowds did before the Las Vegas 51s (now the Aviators) moved to the new ballpark.
