Opening scoring run against #1 Arizona Wildcats in the PMAC in 1999. Can’t remember if it opened on a 22-0 run or a 26-0 run. Playing for the Wildcats were Gilbert Arenas, Richard Jefferson, Loren Woods and Luke Walton (think he was coming off the bench then). Most dominant I’ve seen any team in any sport play for that stretch. Unreal moment in the PMAC.

As a teen, I watched Larry Bird break the Celtic's single-game scoring record (60 points) vs the Atlanta Hawks at UNO's Lakefront Arena.

I was there for the 21-0 championship game where one team couldn't cross the 50 yard line.

Reggie Bush vs Fresno State. That game is easily the best one I’ve seen in person. Bush had somewhere around 500 total yards. Fresno had the lead late in the game but couldn’t hold on and then went into full meltdown the rest of the season.

When Shaq was at LSU in '90 or '91, I saw him bend the frame of the backboard/goal in pregame warmups. They moved that one back and rolled in the "backup" goal. He then proceeded to shatter the backboard on that one. They moved that one out and brought the first one back. Someone had to weld the frame straight on the first one really quickly because this was a nationally televised game. It was delayed 45 minutes for these repairs. It was epic Shaq!

I was also at what became the "Rally Opossum" game when LSU came back to beat Arkansas in the Box. We had front row left field sideline seats and the circus of the Arkansas player getting punked by the baby Opossum was great! We even made it on TV as the network was filming the action. Got lots of texts at the game from friends with pics of their TV's showing me and my family. One of the funniest moments in LSU baseball history.

In high school, playing our rival, they took the opening kickoff back for a touchdown. Our head coach grabbed Wayne Shaw (eventually a RB at Alabama until he tore his ankle up) by the jersey and said, “Wayne, I need you to run this kick back for a score to get momentum back.” Franklin County kicked off to us and Wayne ran the kick back for a touchdown. I looked at our coach and said, “you should tell him that every time.”
The other was witnessing our women’s hoops team end UCONN’s 111 game winning streak at the Final Four. Unreal considering they beat us by 60 the previous season.
Have to mention I was in the Navy stationed at Philadelphia the summer before Kobe’s freshman year of HS. He was working out at Temple with area college players and a couple of NBA guys. You could tell he was going to be special.

CWS, 1998 opening game vs USC, LSU hit eight home runs.

We gave up ten runs but man that was awesome.

Wayde van Niekerk 2016 400 meters

I honestly did not think anyone would come close to Michael Johnson after seeing him obliterate the record in the 90s.

I saw Kyren Lacy's 5'8" dad jump over a dude in high school and dunk on him. Actually he missed the dunk, but it was still the most athletic feat i've ever seen in person. He jumped from way too far out to make the dunk, and he jumped over someone. Gym went nuts and had to stop the game. It was like it happened in slow motion. You saw what he was about to do, and thought "you can't jump from that far out", but he did anyway, and ole Marcus stepped up to take a charge that just wasn't to be that day.

How the hell he ended up with a 6'2" son? Most athletic guy i've ever played against, and he passes his athletic genes along and adds half a foot in height.

The only career hat trick by Steve Ott, better known for being an enforcer.

Later he had an autograph signing and I had him sign my ticket.

Same on March 12, 1985 at UNO's lakefront arena. My father shot an entire roll of film at that game and I still have the pictures.

I was in a cold, wet Legion Field lower east stands and saw Ken Stabler's 4th quarter "Run In The Mud" to beat the barn 7-3 in 1967. Dad kept saying "let's leave, I'm freezing" and I kept saying not yet - that run for the win made the ride home to Huntsville much more enjoyable.
